In 1972, I accompanied my parent to Nairobi Show Ground. Nairobi hosted its 1st African Trade Fare. Mozambique freedom fighters(Frelimo) were honoured as they had a stand showcasing their struggles and success in their war against colonialist. The role of the women was evidenced in magazines, interviews and films as they provided support to other soldiers in battle fields. Pictures of Women carrying food armed with rifles were moving. Seeing those sculptures of women in the capital Maputo, as captured in your channel brought those memories. Viva Frelimo, Viva Machel, Viva Mozambique.

Here is the history of Ngungunyana and how he ended up in Mozambique 🇲🇿 If it was not for a young man we know as Shaka Zulu today... The place we know as kzn ( kwaZulu natal), would probably be know as kwaNxumalo natal.. That's because the dominant people there by far was the Nxumalo people together with their reletives/ neighbors _ the Khumalos. ( By the way "natal" means Christmas in Portuguese, that place was named by Vas coda gama like that) Now Ngungunyani came from the Nxumalos While Mzilikazi came from the Khumalos At the time the king of the Nxumalos was Zwide the son of Langa. Zwide's mom was Ntombasi Ntombasi was a muchawi And she had a habit of killing other kings for no reason and decorating her home with their decapitated skulls.. One day She killed Mashobane who is Mzilikazi s father.. Mashobane was married to Zwide's daughter, ( which means they unalived their own son in law) Again she went on to unalived Godongwane. Godongwane is the man who raised Shaka and took cared for his mom at the time when they were homeless . Godongwane was married to Zwide's sister ( which means they unalived their own brother in law) After the demise of Godongwane, all hell broke loose as Shaka wanted revenge for Godongwane. Mzilikazi fled home in present day Nongoma in kzn fearing for his own life and went to join forces with Shaka... Together Shaka and Mzilikazi fought side by side a lengthy battle with the Nxumalo people under Zwide, and eventually they won... Some say the battle lasted three years. One of the Nxumalos general was Manenkosi known as Soshangane... After the defeat of the Nxumalo people by the Zulus n Mzilikazi.. Soshangane refused to submit to the Zulus of Shaka and he opted to leave the present day Kzn to Mozambique 🇲🇿 Soshangane's son was Mawewe Mawewes son was Nzila Nzilas son was Ngungunyane 👌🏾😅 Another person who followed suit and left with his followers was Zwangendaba Jele He was also a Nxumalo under Zwide He left n went all the way to Malawi 🇲🇼 probably settling in Mzimba or Mzuzu Another person who left the present day Free state province after hearing about the war in kzn was Sebitwana...and he went all the way to Zambia 🇿🇲... Hence the Lozi speaking people in Zambia Later Shaka and Mzilikazi had a fall out... As to what happened 🤷🏾♂️ its anybody's guess... but Mzilikazi took his followers and left eventually settling in present day Zimbabwe Bulawayo hence the people in Bulawayo speak a language identical to zulu language spoken in Sa... 🫡😁
