It's weird how much the show downplays that hes a medical student, to the point where they don't mention it at all. He's always introduced as the PhD in Bioengineering, even though he's already finished 2 years of med school. I have a feeling that the show is either heavily scripted or heavily edited to emphasize the characteristics that make the contestants stereotypically nerdy, over the ones that make them seem like normal people living in our community (like doctors) -- that is my biggest problem with the show.
