My name is Mariam, and I am a filmmaker from Artsakh. Tigran, my cameraman & colleague, and I began making a non-commentary-style documentary series to show post-war life in Artsakh called #TheDesireToLive. This short series is aiming to show the effects of the war on the regular people of Artsakh and their livelihood. I hope spring brings you colour in the blossoms, the air of war clears with the wings of bees and the birds sing you a song of a brighter future. I wish for you to capture a future documentaty of the smiles and achievements a small nation has made to liberate it's people of a century of second guessing themselves. It's not the fault of Armenians that we are landlocked in hostility, it is the force that you're bringing to the nation to realise how progressive and modern minded we as a people are, not what we've become. Change the world's view of Armenia Mariam, because we believe that which we can see. Thank you, keep pushing. Love your work!
