I've never had the opportunity of hunting that country and I'm now 71 years old. I grew up hearing stories of my grandfather and his brother hunting in that area and never tired of hearing of their adventures and the game that brought home.

Awesome hunt, awesome story! Thanks for sharing it the way you did.

20 + years ago shooting that far would have been tuff. Now….oh..wait..still missed. Hunting versus shooting. I think a lot of trophies end up in places like that…they feel safe. It anymore. Nice bull. Lucky

Love elk hunting as well, they are the most challenging of the big game animals, I worked around Elly but never seen any elk. Good job.

Spending time with your dad elk hunting is far more beneficial than any schooling I ever had. I'm on your side of this debate. ❤

Lifetime amazing bull, only one thing the music really kills the moment ,of your boots touching the ground and the sounds of nature that’s what I and a lot of my brother hunters would want to hear. Take us with you on your hunts. #killthemusic

Pay a guide who's lived in the area all his life several thousand bucks, drive right up to the bull, glass 'im...boom! More of a family vacation than an elk hunt. Kinda like going to Disneyland with a .300 Win Mag.
@crazypaul39972 жыл бұрын
Congratulations and very nice bull! I have to say having a guide show you exactly where the bull is and having you drive up the road right up to the knob where you take your shot from is not really considered a hard hunt in my books. Unless I'm missing some backstory on why it was so hard. With that being said, I think it was a good hunt to take your family on and have great memories to share!

A lot of very nice bulls on that land, how much would it cost a person to tag a bull like this ?
@alanjones32083 жыл бұрын
How much did that hunt cost.
@primerevolution23073 жыл бұрын
It was a drawn, public land Nevada elk tag and we used Trevor Marques of Bullridge Outfitters to help us.

Not being a jackass, but I had to laugh when the kid says at 7:22.... I like to outsmart the animal, and he looking thru a spotting scope with the front lense cover blocking it. Sorry man. Just had to laugh at that.
@backcountrysassn72163 жыл бұрын
As soon as I saw Trevor, I had to stop it. I've ran into him and some of his subguides in the past. Honest and trustworthy is not how I would explain my experience meeting them as a non-client. Diesel around hidden water holes, bashed trail cams, subguides sitting right next to you while you're glassing, encouraging long range shots by hunters who can't make the shot and loosing trophy class mule deer just to promote a sponsor. There's a lot of good guides in this state. Trevor is one of those entitled guides.

Why not show the actual kill shot? Hunting is sometimes a messy, imperfect ordeal. Way too much music.

Too much B role of advertising and walking parallel to a road while being filmed

Dude you guys are cool but that’s a lot of commentary and music. Let’s see hunting
@moneyandtimefreedom33523 жыл бұрын
The amount of music sucks, loud then soft, would much rather hear conversations and the sounds of nature. If you listen to the overall video there is less than a minute without the obnoxious music. It does not help the production.
@bornhunter28853 жыл бұрын
Then dont watch the video's! Everyone else enjoyed it and the music...
@stinkyelk9863 жыл бұрын
@@bornhunter2885 I agree with him. This isn't a hunting story, it's a commercial.
