It might be too soon to say but personally these first three episodes of this season already blow season 2 out of the water. Season 3 couldn't have started any better.

@@rahulnegi3263 Yeah, the first episode isn't the best. They kinda mismanaged our expectations by focusing as they did on how much stronger Mark has become with that training montage (something they don't quite do in the comics) to then have him fail to prevent Rex from being pummeled and being taken down by those earth core beasts. Even the animation of Mark fighting or flying in the magma cave scenes seems kinda sluggish. Things definitely get much better in the other episodes. Also don't know what's the issue people have with Season 2.

@ still doesn’t change the fact that he doesn’t want to be kill or seen in that light. It’s not until his own safety is threatened. But with eve going down he couldn’t concentrate and all he could think about is eve. We see that when he doesn’t hold back he’s a serious threat.

23:02 - rewatching the episode I realized that Mark barley even started talking before Cecil immediately went to the white room. Mark didn't even break anything. Yeah he was yelling but he's 19 and upset. Cecil should have more sense to be like okay be cool we'll talk about this and we'll figure this out. If they can't agree, then Mark leaves. Simple.

Nah, not even cops give you that courtesy if there's a chance you are armed and Cecil is talking to the equivalent of a enraged nuclear weapon that happens to be the son of a guy that pretended to be good to only turn around and kill a bunch of superheroes and thousands of people. He has more than enough reason to be afraid and behave the way he did.

Nah! Mark was not trying to be reasonable or have a discussion he wanted things to go his way and if I had an emotional, angsty teen with the powers of Omni Man coming at me I would have also gone into the defensive position as well (if I had the means to do so). Without the White Room Cecil was left defenseless against someone who could snap him like a twig even by accident, who has done something similar already.
