How’re you getting two separate ticks of burns? One from the FS I’m assuming a where’s the other come from?

that would be from the fire infused runeglass I have on the weapon, 8% weapon damage for 2s anytime I land an attack

That’s the one I was referring to for the weapon, but I see there’s constantly two ticks of burn damage. Where’s the second one other than the runeglass tick come from?

@@alecedwards2028 well it ticks multiple times so the number may be hovering from a previous tick. The only possible dots that can show up on hit are the flame attunement impact, 1-2 smolders based on if an ability crits, keenly jagged, and the runeglass dot.

it is better to put in phoenix a defensive perk like some kind of slash-thrust protection instead of refreshing recovery?

Personal preference, I've definitely killed people or lived situations that were otherwise impossible due to refreshing recovery though.

best fun build ! what does the neck do ?

It's super fun. The neck gives you a temporary life that if you kill someone else before the timer runs out you get to stay alive. However I use it more for the illegal perk combination of purify and stamina recovery on the same item.

what's up with the rapier bleed passive selection? you're not running any bleeds? Unless jagged bleeds count?

Jagged bleeds enable the 15% damage amp on both weapons so you can camp the firestaff for really high burst.

@@nickh5485 oh I meant on your Rapier tree. you selected the rapier bleed 5% passive. I don't think that adds any benefit for your build. Might be worth swapping that for the crit CDR on grace passive

@@MrDerly oh I understand now, I kind of assumed it worked with keenly jagged but I haven't tested it. I'll double check that, if it doesn't work you're definitely right about it being useless

@@nickh5485 I've tested it before, and I'm fairly certain it only works with tondo/flurry bleeds. According to the balance of power video from a week or 2 ago, the Flourish and Finish weapon perk will also add a bleed to the flourish as well. so it'll be good to use eventually, but I don't think it's working for standard jagged bleeds. Might be worth swapping for now just to get more value from a passive!

It's the directional melee setting, they added it in game settings with the new movement

@@gastoncrespo6908 flick the setting directional melee option under in game settings, then suddenly you can use free camera and wasd to control turning arcs. The only thing to take note of when turning full circles is that when your turning arc is half way through you need to swap from pressing either s or d (while holding w) to the opposite turning key (while holding s) immediately.

I found my arena experience in WoW actually helped me adapt a lot in New World when, you'd be surprised how the pillaring mentality in arena translates to positional abuse in New World. That being said though I'm super hyped for Cata Classic to come out next month, that was some of the best PvP WoW had.
