The daddy has no understanding of what he has done to the family. We can all say that Miss Evelyn has definitely traumatized the children. But it started with him. You cheat on your wife initially cheating on your whole family. Then you choose not to go to your daughters wedding because your mistress isn’t invited. So you want your cake be happy have your new wife and then force your family that you hurt to except her and love her or whatever. As a woman she should have made him attend his daughters wedding. It is so important to seek counsel immediately after trauma. Two examples: 1). I remember Lauren London stating that right after Nipsey Hussle passed she sought counsel for grief because she knew the emotions, questions, anger and pain that she would feel, but also his children, his youngest being two at the time. 2). There was an episode in the early first or second season when Tamar asked Traci why she didn’t ever have a comment on their parents and the divorce. Traci stated “because that’s Mommy and Daddy’s business”. She said I love both of my parents, but them separating has nothing to do with my relationship with either. In spite of their father’s choice and decisions she said he was a good father and she always wanted her son to have the same relationship with his grandfather. He had one with his grandmother and nothing would change that. That had nothing to do with how he showed up as a grandfather. Children no matter the age always pick a side, which is a major problem. You have to be able to separate your feelings of your parents relationship and form and continue your own with each one. Siding with one parent always leads to resentment towards the other parent which is typically the father. I agree with Traci in that her parents were good to her and although their relationship took a turn it was theirs and you learn from it, speak to both and move forward. Also, I understand that this was Evelyn’s first love, but at this time, they’ve been divorced for almost two decades after being married for over 30 years. She has to move on with her life, he certainly has moved way past the situation. She’s carrying a hurt and putting that off on her children, though they are grown.
@stephaniejohnson84094 жыл бұрын
The way I see it 🙄 Miss Evelyn's inability to forgive their father, let that hurt go, and make peace with him and his new wife has poisoned the whole family. Absolutely crazy to me to bring six children in the world with a person and refuse to be in the same space. My parents refused to be in the same space together too, until they had no other choice at their sons funeral..😔
@lilpinkbubbles65923 жыл бұрын
I think it is important to show children boundaries. Forgive for yourself, but if someone does you wrong like having an affair for a decade, they didn’t mean you well. Mr. Braxton and Mrs Wanda did not wish Ms Evelyn well. There are consequences when a man doesn’t end one thing and start another. They are reaping what they sowed. Why must the faithful wife make peace with her ex-husband and his new wife after a betrayal? Forgiveness can also mean that you are no longer are angry, you wish them well, but they can no longer be around you.
@sjgeneralcontractors21372 жыл бұрын
Did we watch the same episode? She said she has forgiven him but doesn’t want his Ex-mistress/Homewrecker in HER personal space. They’ve been to together on many occasions cordially for their children without her in the mix. That type of pain is deep for the entire family and often the adult children can move past it and converse with the offending parent and new spouse but it’s very hard for the spouse that was betrayed to be in the space of the person that assisted in the parting of their union. It’s much Easier to forgive someone you once loved and gave you children, though one never forgets, just moves forward with grace, as I believe Ms E. Has done. Pity this type of behavior has been glamorized.

Shid got real with what Tamar said about choosing your kids, she may get on everyone's last nerve however everyone pays attention to the youngest when the speak. Blood is thicker than water letting another woman come in between you an your kids is wrong, Tamar as well as the rest of the Sisters feel like their Dad walked out on their Family, an made a completely new life with the homewrecker. Then the Dad said what happened his Marriage to Mom E was their business it effected the entire family so it is their business as well.

If Miss Wanda wasn't the woman Dad had the affair with while he was married to Ms E why she doesn't want to be around them? I don't mean being around them as friends, but as Ms E says, she doesn't want them in her space. So does that mean Ms E is still in love with her ex?

Ok i'm going to state the obvious... why are they acting like they parents just got divorced recently. I mean i understand that is hurt that your father is not with your mom anymore but it's been Y E A R S. they acting like they are in their teens and even early 20s.. They are all in their 40s and Toni is 50!!! They have had kids, and i feel like Trina, Towanda, and Toni's kids have taken their mom's divorces better than these grown women have taken Ms. E and Michael's divorce.. Am i missing something? Being insensitive? i hope this makes sense.

Eh… I think they get angry at times because she's a narcissistic spoiled brat that gets away with steamrolling over people's boundaries and feelings and they get tired and realized that they have helped create a monster to a certain degree with their years and years of cuddling and protecting her ego. So when she goes off on them and exposes some of their family dirt and business it all comes back to them and that has to be extremely irritating as we've seen. Nothing more nothing less from my observation. 😞
