I have always heard the saying, "the stone that the builder refuses becomes the head corner stone". To hear it demonstrated in Donna's mother affirmation was just a tear jerking experience. The mother wound runs deep especially for children whose mothers found themselves being mothers while they were still processing a childhood that was interrupted by trauma. The dynamic with those mothers and their children is usually a complex one that is laced with resentment, misunderstanding, guilt and shame. There is always what should/ shouldn’t happen in a perfect world. Then there is what actually happen that leave many feeling broken.The answers lie in some VERY uncomfortable conversations but we must have them so judgement can take a back seat. Miss Donna you have done tremendously well. It takes a really strong person to not allow bitterness to handcuff them to their traumatic experiences. You are a special woman. Love you sooo much ❤️

Aunty Donna, I believe you have forgiven you Mom and Dad for rejecting you in your childhood years. Obviously your Dad was ashamed for what he did, and your Mon was badly hurt by what happened to her at such a tender age. Thank God your Dad eventually owned and took you to his home and gave you whatever you needed as a young woman. Thank God you have overcome the rejection. No one truly knows you until they hear your story. May God bless you with strength as you continue to help the poor and needy.
