isn't the aspect of synergy insanely good for this build? i assume the damage multi snapshots on dance of knives and you can get 20-40% CDR for concealment which makes the build feel a lot smoother. 20 sec CD is pretty long since you sometimes want to stop channeling to open chests, loot items, open doors etc, when i tried it on the ptr i put the aspect of synergy on a 2hander and had 12 second CD with 13 sec on the imbuement.

You're on to something with this build compared to other DoK. I've tried switching to a couple other DoK builds that had updated Paragon, and they were a huge step back in damage. Something to do with Cold imbue it seems...other Shadow/Poison DoKs were a huge regression, even with some uniques

How does the new DLC work? does it increase the level cap and start at the end of the main story, or if I get the DLC do I have to completely start again? I just bought the game yesterday and started leveling, so Idk if I should continue if I have to start again.

Movement speed important but its more about the way you move. you have to make sure to always stay moving and make clean tight circles (largest diameter possible) if you are confined to a small area. You can use combo points specialty to get extra channeling charges to help if your having trouble. He make it seem super easy but in reality you get tripped up alot so you really want movement speed but its every easy to cap with momentum , haste and a few tempers

Good job testing this leveling build. Sad that it's another season where the main d4 guys are all talking s tier builds that are based on unintended effects like snapshoting.

snapshotting works this way on other channeled skills too afaik and has been a feature in many rpg games (like snapshotting dots in WoW). i don't think it's safe to call it a bug at this point and it would be kinda silly if DoK would consume an imbuement charge every second for example. sure the concealment tech is powerful early game but optimized lategame versions of dance of knives don't even use it from what i've seeen when people were making builds during the ptr.

guys, does anyone play rogue on PS5? I cannot channel dance of knives at all, because it seems I don't move 30 meters and everytime after 6 charges I stop channeling. I tried on open space without enemies to channel it endlessly, but my rogue moves so slow and everytime skill goes on cooldown. Is there something I'm missing here, doing wrong on controller?

Same problem here. Sometimes I can keep it going for a bit but I'd say 85% of the time I run out of charges.

@@matthewl1187 so are we doing something wrong? Everyone (every guide) says “just hold the right button”, but it doesn’t work and when it doesn’t it ruins the fun and the whole purpose of the build. I switched last night to spiritborn and I’m destroying things so easily - night and day difference betweeen spiritborn and rogue.

​@@thePR3TEND3Ryou're not doing anything wrong. I just hit level 60 with shadow dancing knife build all the way from 1. You need movement speed. Your gonna be too slow at start to keep full uptime. Take any passives that boost movement speed, temper on gear..once you unlock momentum your gonna get i think 30% movement speed at max stack which you'll always have. Max haste for 15 more. That get you to perma 145%, now just get a few tempers once your like 150+ it is dramatically easier to keep channeling

and what class is fun in your opinion? barb spamming 3 shouts on CD or sorc which runs mostly the same skills in every build? necro and druid with their grandpa pace? at least rogue is fast and has some diversity to it's gameplay with melee, ranged and now a channeled skill, multiple useful key passive and supporting/mobility skills etc.
