In that case, they should have made ults charge faster. Making players feel like they're good at the game was originally the _entire point_ of ultimate abilities, you just pressed a button and your character would do something really cool and powerful. They never should have moved away from that design. The main reason why burst (both damage and heals) became such a problem in the first place is because the devs started putting too much of it into hero's base kits instead of reserving burst for their ultimate abilities (e.g. bionade, immortality field, suzu).

But this patch is even a fail for low skill players because they may enjoy hitting more shots, but the smurfs they always complain about have just become far more lethal. I'm a GM player with diamond aim. Going up against GM aimers is absurd. They literally never miss a single head shot. I've been 1v4ing with Zen in comp. So yeah bad players will hit more shots. Skilled players will carry harder than anyone ever thought possible.

As the self proclaimed spokesperson for Bronze, even I hate this. I went from 30% accuracy on Soldier, and fighting a Pharah was a challenge, but I knew my role. Now, I was averaging 45+% accuracy and dinking Pharah's like I had actual aim. I hate this. I knew I was bad, and it gave me something to work on, improving hitscan accuracy, understanding different projectile speeds, and how different characters played. Now, its just another FPS money grinder. I don't think they'll be rerolling this back, as it will garner lots of attention and help draw new players in. OW went from being a very hard game to master, to Paladins.

I played overwatch off and on since s3, I played A LOT. The big thing I would come back to it for was the fps component. I loved shooting things in ow, it felt good; the fast paced movement, balance between rewarding mechanics and tactics were pretty fair. Now I'm relieved that I can finally join all my friends and easily say that the final thing keeping me stuck to the game has been slaughtered. I am free.

Zen is breaking the game right now, and widow is oppressive. Tank feels even worse to play, but we knew this would happen. The hit boxes are ridiculous. All the thresholds for the burst damage death combos has been tweaked to be less lethal, but random spam and hitscan spraying has been buffed... Somehow they managed to encourage the most degenerate Damage playstyles across the entire roster in one patch. Instead of combos, now chip damage, supressive fire, and ults will be the only way to secure elims reliably. All the Damage heroes that relied on movement and small hitbox to dodge damage will be much less playable like Echo and Pharah. Pharah's new little dash isn't going to be able to dodge the school bus projectiles coming at her. Welcome to the Bastion, Torb, Zen, meta.

Season 9 with a broken hitbox, everyone became a pro player, you hit the target even without hitting it. And also passive healing for everyone reduces support work, and makes the entire game slower and more drawn out, resulting in longer matches. I played quite a few ranked matches and then just hopped off and I don’t think I’m going to play this game that much anymore. This is one of those. Cator to the noobs moments. if you have every played goldeneye on the N64, this is essentially DK mode but without everyone's head enlarged. DK Mode is "Donkey Kong" mode and it's a cheat option which distorts all characters' models making them have giant heads, shrunken bodies and bulky arms once activated.

They had to clip Pharah's wings because crybabies who can't aim would get wrecked by her, which is also why they increased the projectile hitboxes. God forbid people practice and get better at the game. No, let's just make it so that no aim is required and the character whose entire identity revolves around flying can't fly anymore.

It is funny because it is somehow worse that Paladin's hitboxes. In that game, if you miss the head like that, it counts as a shoulder shot while in this game it counts as a head shot. Otherwise they are about the same size.

Zen makes tanking a fu cking chore, like outside of very very few dps no one can trully duel him. They should’ve removed that kick and 250 health is already way too much. He was supposed to be a glass canon, now he’s a dps canon. Reaper is also a sustain tank, Orisa? Let’s not even mention her. I’ve seen trash widows picking entire teams. Lampbitch bap is almost unkillable now and still dishes great amounts of damage.
