SEASON HIGH ELO USING MY SIGNATURE BACKLINE Ultra League FT Shadow Feraligatr Drapion & Skuntank

Welcome back to the channel. motivation for me to climb these days is very low. Until.we have some padsed legend I'm not all that motivated to climb. on go battle day I was still in the veteran range, a viewer comment on one of my videos saying they had great success with my signature double dark poison backline but using new meta monster Feraligatr in the lead.
I've tried this backline with Hitmonchan Poliwrath Machamp Hitmontop Swampert and Machamp, essentially anything that can becklines qeakness to the ground types and check the steels. Gator has the credentials to fill the roll, so I gave it a try for myself.
It's safe to say the dark poisons are monsters in the current meta. This team helped me sail. passed expert dank and reached 2850 elo!
if you love an ABB style team and are looking to climb, I hoenst don't think you'll find a better backline than double dark posion in the ultra league.

Way back when, I used to run Shadow Dragonite, Exeggutor and regular Empoleon. No reason other than I thought it was fun. Once I am able to get Hydro Cannon for my shadow Empoleon I am going to try it again. I used to have so much fun. Great Video as usual!

I agree with you on veteran to legend is skill. I just hit legend on go battle day. I gained 500 elo in 3 days. But before that I hit expert in first week of April. Then tanked. It happens but consistent play is always the answer to getting over that hurdle

But no second dark poison. Do you reckon it’s worth trying this team but with kanto muk (it’s rank 1)

Love seeing this bud. For poliwrath I used alolan muk. You can either acid spray beat it or run sludge wave. Havent had a poli shield yet. I build up a bunch of energy on gator. And swap as soon as poli throws. But your signature team was the hardest to beat. I lost more than I won against poli dark/poison. But had a lot of wins against everything else. It got me to my all time high elo. Missed expert by 3 points. But I know I still have a lot to learn. Only my 3rd season playing. So I'm happy getting as far as I did with all shadows.

Thanks for the recommendation. I had a lot of fun running my favourite backline. Yeah, this is true when I've ran muk 0 people respect the sludge wave. Skunk is my favourite UL mon and Drapion is the channel.madcot, so there is no room on the team for muk 😂😂😂

I have to run muk cause I don't have a ultra league skunk built yet. I got a good ranked one. Need some xl still to build it. Drapion has become my favorite mon. So so spammy. Hopefully I'll have the skunk in the next couple weeks so I can run that. I'm hoping expert this season and veteran next. Still learning a lot of move counts for opposing pokemon and energy management. But your videos have helped a lot. Certainly learned from you how to catch dr. Beep beep and tapu fini moves which is a lot of fun being able to catch on one turn moves. Definitely oh that and fast move timing to your videos.

In a few past seasons dark/poisons dropped in usage due to Cobalion being so dominant. Now with Poliwrath's ubiquity Cobalion's gone extinct, which gives dark/poisons a lot more play - especially that a lot of players are choosing Cresselia to counter Poliwrath.

Skunk is by far my favourite mon. These guys often run a more balanced team, whereas I'm usually more of an ABB player. I'm just looking to bait something out so my back.mon can close

This is why when nothing is working and i struggle to climb, i always go double dark poison or ghost. Even with loss leads and swaps, people often dont respect those typings enough.

Awesome battles!! Yeah game is in such a bad state atm lol.. at the beginning of the battle weekend I climbed to 2980, but then lag and hard counters hit and dropped back to 2800s. I lost like 15 games to lag/bugs last week (so should have been Legend at this time if the game worked properly lol)

Used this team (with Poliwrath instead) to get myself a season high as well. A big 0-5 slapped me back down but we'll get back up there again.

Weird play to switch lock yourself into a neutral debuffing move instead of tanking the resisted damage on gator and then switching to clear the debuff. Might've won a few more that way. But also should've lost a couple at the end if the opponents were smarter

@jamie have you faced against someone this season yet with (allegedly) a LAG HACK? cuz i just fought like 3 of them in the 2500+ elo range. and for a fact it ain't gonna be connection issues cuz the match right after them were normal. basically if ur against one with it, the entirety of the match any inputs you do are extremely delayed. I hope you come across one and record it so you can expose these fukin losers. i'm tired of this bullshit. catch one, record it and send it to niantic get them banned.
