I think you captured some winners there Louise, despite the lack of sleep! Keeping in the drone crash was entertaining as well!

Ahhh Ben, they were vaguely passable. Nowt compared with yours and other local togs we know. You are very kind sir. And thanks again for your company! 👍

As much as I hated the grim UK weather, there's no doubt that the variety of conditions and seasonal changes offer lots of opportunities. Great video again!

You said the shots were not good but who cares? how important is that statement to me,(very) its just so nice to be out there in the fresh air and wild flowers....Thank you...

It really is important. Yes, it’s disappointing not to get ‘the shot’ but we are in danger of missing so much by focusing solely on the back of the camera. Des, getting out and noticing change is what made me start this malarkey but… I probably need to remember my own words more though 😉😁

I love your fields of bluebells and wild garlic. Wish we had them on this side of the pond. But I can imagine they can be very hard to photograph. You got some cracking shots. Loved the 2nd ICM. Hope you are recovering well.

We are lucky Susan. It just goes mad at this time of year. 😊 I think that one is the shot I’m most fond of too. Thank you for the feedback 👍

There is only one woodland nearby that has bluebells, but unfortunately, they have been trampled over by locals. To find a more scenic bluebell area, I have to travel for at least 30-45 minutes where they are untouched. I enjoyed watching your video, which proves that you have to scout out a location instead of expecting bluebells to be all framed up for you 😂 The pano shot near the end was my favourite!

Thanks Paul. I agree re the pano. It’s not easy is it? In my local wood, a tog walked all through one patch… we all tutted but didn’t say anything. I regret that now. 😳

Louise In California it's the wildflowers people seek out to photograph mainly the state flower The California Poppy when they are in bloom whole mountain sides can be covered in wildflowers as well as flat fields. Good luck on your Blue Bells photography

Weather's been crazy in Sweden as well. One day t-shirt weather. Day after 20cm snow 🤷‍♂ Pano shot at 8:46 was really, really lovely though. Hope surgery went well

It did thank you Jimmy. Just need not to do anything daft. At least it’s not just us here. Crikey, you have had extremes, I know Slovenia has too… ugh 🙈 Thanks for the feedback 👍

Hi Louise, i got caught out this week, got up at 03.30 hours to shoot a woodland near me , well 50 min drive away , the exact location of the best of the bluebells caught me out and so i found i was struggling for time and the weather was well less than ideal. Your right i should of scouted first. Still i liked the images tou produced especially the day three set. Its still woodland and as we all know its a difficult genre. Hope you have recovered , all the best.

Hi Lee, I think it’s really hard and I see so many images at this time of year that make me feel inadequate and give me fomo! 🙈 Scouting is also a serious time commitment too. I have one shot only that I have ever taken that I am very pleased with and that location has been wrecked by 4x4s driving through it last year. Good luck sir 👍

Great video. I have a 17-40mm, what would be my next lens, the macro or the 70-200. Hope you recover quickly.
@louisewelcomephotography
@louisewelcomephotography 9 ай бұрын
I find the 70 to 200 is the most useful as it helps with perspective compression and also can by used in bigger vistas. Having said that, my 100mm macro can also be used as a fixed lens in other contexts and gives smooooth bokeh! I depends on your context and I realise that may not be the most helpful reply 😂.
Deer, a long lens, what could go wrong? Quite a lot apparently!
