Oh, I love the oriental elements so much!

There are no "oriental" elements. All is Greek-inspired. Greek is not in the "Orient".
@WikiEvOl8 жыл бұрын
Greece has been under Ottoman domination for hundreads of years, therefore, greek culture has some oriental influences as all the countries in the Balkans do.

WikiEvOl Alright I'll agree that sime might consider the Middle East as "oriental"... but the melodic elements in there predate Ottoman domination.

Actually the people who came from Smyrni helped form many parts of the Greek tradition, and lived alongside with Turks, so Greece has Middle Eastern culture characteristics alright

Greece isn't "middle eastern".

I do I do I do! Holy crap I love this stuff. Let the world go up I say. Let it fall down and bring with it all those who think they are above everyone else. Let money systems fail. Let wealth vanish overnight. Let their underground cities collapse. I say.

Can anyone clarify if this is exactly the same original live recording that they got permission from her to use, or if it's an actual collaboration? I see conflicting sources saying both.
@RottingChristTributeOriginal5 жыл бұрын
It's the original recording that they got permission to use. They lowered the percussion from the background and replaced it with Sakis music. Diamanda was happy and excited since Sakis asked her about it and also with the final song!

It's an actual collaboration

Diamanda's original track had been recorded six years before Rotting Christ's release (Also Rotting's cover misses one verse that the one of Diamanda has, immediately after "That drags your flesh And will never rest". She was happy with Rotting's work and even complimented the use of Greek choruses in certain parts of their song
