I really can't explain it, but I got STONED listening to Bláfjall. LOVE the Song, and even if I can't understand the Lyrics, I just CAN'T STOP LISTENING to it, over and over again...! Extremely beautiful AND powerful Voice & Music...

I'm Irish and love this band to the moon and back. Don't understand the Icelandic norse, but I FEEL this music. It's of the land, and with us being similar geographically and climatically, I understand it. It's the soulsong of the land.

This video was my "gateway drug" into Sólstafir's music, and I've been addicted to them ever since. Berdreyminn is one of those albums that you can put aside for a few months, but when you listen to it again, you will discover even more facets and you'll fall in love with it once more.

Really impressed of the recording quality. In this era, where some drum sounds midi, and some guitar sounds like synth, is't a good thing to listen to an album recorded in a properly way.

I like when artists tries things and evolves every album made. i think all of their releases are good for different reasons. this one is ver different and can't be compared to earier stuff. they're on another direction ,slightly.

To me, this album sounds like what U2 would sound like if they were metal. The vocals, the atmosphere, the overall feel, it's all there, to my ear. I like the dismal and mournful feeling this album has, and it has a sweep unlike most bands out there that drags you in. If this had had a "modern" production, it would have lost so much vibe, to me. Excellent stuff!
@magnusbruce40515 жыл бұрын
The main hook on Ísafold is pure Wishbone Ash brilliance. I think it's best part of the album, which is saying a lot because this entiure album is incredible. Can't wait to see Solstafir again. But anyway, I still can listen to Svartir Sandar, Masterpiece (!) of bitterness and all other good stuff. They won't dissappear; things are changing. Some for the good. Some for the bad.
