Except their early stuff, including this album, is NOT symphonic!

@@Soulfly415 listen again. Even their earlier works had tinges of symphonic elements. The Dream Lord is a perfect example

@@a_fallen_temple you're right man, but I think he wanted to say that in this album and in mystic places of dawn there wasn't so many symphonic stuff like in the latest albums. They were more similar to amorphis

SF were a better band when they were more rockin' along with the guitar harmonies and death metal sound in drums and vocals. They got worse during this millenium.

you can say this about pretty much any legendary turn of the 90s bands . tis why i dont even bother with their new albums jus stick to the masterpieces . napalm death obituary carcass i could go on all lost their magic and just making albums to sustain themselves.

also 3:26 incredible soundscape . no other band could touch this in 1995 . sure some were faster heavier whatever but they couldnt create the atmosphere .

Biggest joke I've ever heard. From Communion (2008) onwards they delivered some of the best records of the last 20 years. Not a personal opinion, a widely accepted fact. "Communion", "The Great Mass", and "Titan" were albums of the year literally everywhere.
