Someone get this man an opponent of the year award what an absolute sweetheart. Nothing went his way basically the whole game and he stuck in, played a cracker of a game and didn't whine the entire game even once. Exactly what I like to see.

I love matches like this. Very precise gameplay, even from factions that you wouldn't expect it from, even if Khorne's bloodlust couldn't be denied on the double turn, but of course he failed the charge on that turn. It's a random game, and that'll happen sometimes. Still, a lot of rolls went Khorne's way this time around, and Gloomspite's random mechanics are very difficult to play around. I do hope that the Gitz get some much-needed love. I think they're still struggling a fair bit competitively. Great game, nonetheless. Can't wait to see the next one. Just out of curiosity, are you going to Midwest Conquest 2024? If so, I might see you there.

What was the thoughtprocess behind not charging the 9block of Troggoths into the Reavers and/or the Fleshhounds in turn 2? I thought he would've wanted them into combat fighting on that objective. I've just started playing a Troggotharmy myself so would love to hear the strategy there :)

Good question! I wanted Jordan to take that obj back from me because many easy gitz tactics require taking an objective an opponent controls. Which requires him having models on the objective. I would have actually scored less if I turned the reavers into a cloud of red Vapour 😉

It was also because of the battle tactic, the Trolls had to stay wholly within 12" of the Loonshrine to be affected by the Light of the Bad Moon!

You kept saying that skarbrand got auto 8 mortals. You still need to roll, as a 6 is 16 mortal wound instead. Also he's only bottom bracket if he didn't fight last turn.

You can use the 'extra enhancement' from battalions to choose a spell/prayer enhancement, which lets your wizards or priests choose and additional spell or prayer respectively!

Double turns are essential to avoid Alphastrike armies that take the first turn, murdering the enemy with no defense and caramping them in their deployment turn 1. They can't risk to give a double so they give the first turn away, this gives an army the possibility to get defensive buffs up and move a little to get space.
