SEAT Ateca In-Depth Review | Is it one of the best SUVs on sale?

Having replaced a 2017 Tiguan SEL with an Ateca FR sport I can say the ride comfort difference is barely noticeable but the handling is much better.

I don't understand why reviewers moan about the suspension, I own the FR Sport with 19-inch wheels and the ride quality is excellent, better than my Skoda Octavia was and it was better than the Karoq I test drove. The ride is firm as expected but never harsh!

I've learnt with most car reviewers that it's all relative. The majority of people will find the Seat to be very comfortable but when a reviewer is subconsciously comparing it to a luxury saloon, they'll find that it is bumpy.

we read the "pros" comments re the suspension. We drove a load of cars b4 settling for the FR. We couldnt tell any difference suspension wise at all. Its a mini Tardis. huge boot and big interior. Comfy quick yet economical....whats not to like.

Downside with a multilink suspension is, if/when it needs replacing, it'll cost you twice the cost of a non multi link suspension

In Mexico you could buy the 1.4 TSI 150hp, FR DSG with 4drive option for few months then they changed to Triptonic no 4 drive option!! I was one of the lucky ones😉. Like the review said isn't the new kid on the block but the most fun to drive and loaded with great features like digital cockpit, huge panoramic sunroof,, and I paid only $25k usd with zero km!! Highly recommended!!!

Yeah, its really bland/barren - made me go with karoq instead for my car purchase
