I've used a hand stapler before and is was a pain. Will look into getting an air stapler looks much easier.

Will you list the staples and staple gun you used ? I have been watching some videos and it appears there are stainless steel staples and staples that rust .

Tried it with a hand stapler - NOT POSSIBLE. Maybe KTM changed the pan material? My 2015 is fiberglass. My 2012 is plastic...

The best option for a staple gun is Harbor Freight's Wide Crown pneumatic stapler. (Item number 68029) We recommend T-50 stainless steel staples, and it is important that the depth of the staple not exceed ¼”. I installed the cover just like the video but now the seat pan doesn't fit anymore, it's like the pan grew 1/4 inch in length and it wont fit into the sub frame anymore. Any advice?

Excess seat cover material at the front can cause it to bind at the button it clips under; You may need to trim there.

Jus picked up this kit for my 890 duke r ....I thought it came prebuilt for $250 plus another $100 for electric stapler an supply’s turning into a pricey seat!!!

Hey mate - curious how your install went? I bought one not knowing I had to install - spendy and now jenky lookin' af on my bike..... least attractive part on the bike! I will have to find a shop and pay someone to dial it in.
