You never mention source but I can guess from similar problems. Just now I was struggling to get my front seat back on a bench for my 4 door sedan, and after no-fit, I measured and many of the panels are over an inch-and-a-half short! These cost a ton and the wait was nearly 2 years (20 months) I did order extra vinyl and it does not really match. I do not have a professional sewing machine either, just a very old Kenmore portable I'm going to have to make work AGAIN. I already had to re-do the back seat back. (SMS in Ore.)

I have a 1963 chevy belair and I need to reupholster the back seat. Does anybody know where I can find the kit or the materials to match the front seat? I leave in Missouri

SMS in Oregon but you will have MANY of the problems seen in this video, and long wait and below poor customer service. But if you are prepared to re-do it, and have ordered extra vinyl, you ought to come out with a good product--in 2 years!

I have been doing leather work for a few years now, and I'm interested in getting into upholstery. What sewing machine should I be looking for. I don't believe my cobra class 26 would work well.

I hear really great stuff about NC Carpet Binding . We have a few machines we are looking at from them and hopefully purchasing this fall. Also heard great stuff about Durkopp Adler.

I don’t do upholstery for a living but I have been doing it from time to time for 40 years and have actually owned an upholstery shop, in my experience you can’t buy ready made seat upholstery that’s as good as you make yourself. Just my opinion. I have always loved to sew

I agree , however the business seems to have changed and everyone wants to purchase the pre made kits for the price. This leaves upholstery shops to have to install them.

I have a 1963 Chevy belair that needs the seats reupholstered. Do you know a place where I can get the covers already made?
