Great video. Wanted a mk6 golf r, rs3 8p, but now considering due to this video, and 2 others a seat maybe not brand new but one in my budget like 290 and 300. Limited slip, dcc, lots of good options. Great video. Keep it up

Great video Bobby. Saw one of these the other day, was wondering how it was as I have an Audi S3 2018. Agree with you about the interior in this, it does not give you that special feeling like it does sitting in an Audi cockpit. Looking forward to the BMW M135i review.

Mr. D Nicholson Thank you! I’ve also driven an S3 and they are brilliant, especially with the four wheel drive! This is a good little hot hatch too, but could seriously do with four wheel drive. Agree though, interior doesn’t feel special. Thanks for watching!

@@BobbyDrives the standard conti's are shit tyres for fwd, mine lasted less that 10k on my 300, put on some Michelin ps4s to drastically improve the grip, yes launch control is abit pointless and an r or s3 will beat it from launch all day long, however which do you do more, launch control everywhere, or fun drives along b roads? Hooning down b roads cupra comes alive

"Takes a few attempts to get to know the ground" no lol, you mean it takes a few attempts to warm up the tyres, and the fact it's running on contis, if you want a good launch you need good tyres. Also the cupra takes the golf all day every day when you take launching the car out of it, i've never been outpaced by a golf on a roll, it's been the other way round every time.

A standard 290 does not torque steer with PS4S tyres, its the crap tyres letting go not torque steer. The 290 DSG does 0-60 in 5.6 and the manual 5.7 not 6 seconds, I have done 5.7 in my 2019, 209 DSG without really trying with the crap factory Conti. tyres.

It does still have the pops and bangs bro. Just need to give it a bit of time to let the metal settle. Once you hit about 2k miles, it gets loud! I found this in my old 300 manual too

Benji Reddy Thanks! This car literally had about 800 miles on it. Apparently the new filter does minimise the pops and bangs. But you’re right, on a few occasions, I heard them! 👍🏼

A Saarvi My dad has the new cupra 290 and it’s actually pretty loud once your on 3k miles, pops and bangs are there
