I’ve had cats that have also torn holes in the bottom of chairs and even our mattress! Had a beloved calico that only shredded leather furniture and a Siamese that ate wool - blankets, socks, sweaters, the cuffs of jackets. Loved them all anyway even when I was frustrated with their behaviour. You received some lovely items and created some lovely things. TFS Wendy! Good luck with Arthur. 😁

Wonderful grab bag of goodies and I love how you used them today. The pockets are great! I've never heard anything about orange kitties only having one brain cell, I've always heard that they are very smart and have great personalities. Sounds like Arthur is living up to being quite smart and adventurous too! When our kitties (we had 2 sisters) were about Arthur's age I mentioned to the vet about they were becoming more mischievous than when they were younger. He laughed and said "they're teenagers at 9 months and they will act like it!" lol!

My husband makes the BEST heavy-duty scratching posts with a round wooden base (we can buy them at DIY home stores), a nice, tall, 4" diameter or more post and we wrap it very tightly with a heavy sisal rope, tacked down in a few spots with heavy u-shaped nails. We rub cat nip on the rope, and the cats love them so much that is all they want to scratch on. It is heavy enough to not tip over. Tall enough for them to reach up and get a good stretch for their backs, which they like. He varnished the round wood bases. Then, we make sure to trim our cats nails, all 4 paws, every 2 weeks, at least. We have a couple of the floor scratch pads. We don't have a problem with them scratching anything else. We have even made house cats out of barn cats who lived many years in barns, very successfully with these methods. I know all cats are different, however. I don't mind the look of the post in the corner of the living room, and another in master bathroom, though they look a bit utilitarian. I would rather have to look at that, than shredded furniture. Just sharing what works for us. Good luck!!

Oh my, Wendy, I am glad to know I'm not alone! I had no idea my cat had pulled the bottom covering loose on my couch until the day I heard it rip and he fell out. 😅I am going to have to have it redone at some point. I had forgotten about Triple V's lovely coffee dyed papers. I ordered some of the beautiful lace papers. Thank you for sharing.

Arthur is certainly being a little Dickens! Some youngsters are just like that Wendy. Jackson Galaxy had a TV show here in the states, "My Cat From Heck". He works wonders with cats and has a YT channel, perhaps you could find some pointers from him. I love triple vintage stuff. I have not made journals in a while, but always purchased from her.

Silly Arthur, lol. my mother in-law past two cats will scratch when she has guest and will only scratch her arms, very sad but they must have been through some trauma from previous owners. They now doing well when we visit with Mr. Darcy. Love your share and glad you are doing much better. My irises are out of the ground and then we have snow pouring now since yesterday. Hope we will have beautiful Spring soon. Your quick makes are always turned out so beautiful xoxo.

Oh goodness, sweet kitties do go through the terrible twos (much early than age 2). Arthur will outgrow it I am certain. We had an orange cat that was delightful but he joined us an older kitten. What exactly is rag paper. Ive heard it many times in videos. Wow she has beautiful treasures. Love the lacey coffee died paper. I had a yellow tiger and he was brilliant...he did tricks😂 don't you love it when a plan comes together ❤so pretty I love them

Rag paper is very old paper (usually over 100 years) that actually had fabric fibers in the paper ❤
