Good work bro. I'm beginning to work on my project after about 15 years. This was useful. I just bought a set of a body seas for 50 bucks.

Wow nice grab. $50 is a great deal. Little elbow grease and you’ll have those things ready to throw in the car. Good luck on the build. I know you’ll do a great job. Thanks for watching.

Pretty sneaky, I'm impressed, you saw a problem and solved it.

Haha. Sneaky is a nice way of putting it. I have no money so I couldn’t afford the correct ones. Well that and reproductions are nowhere to be found. You’re too kind lol thank you for watching.

I’m building a 62 Acadian (Canadian Chevy II). Your hack was very useful. Thanks for doing the video.

These seat tracks are tremendous pain to find as I’m sure you know. Just figured I would relay the little trick to anyone else who had the same problem I did trying to find them.

I sectioned and welded back together some old 66 gto seat tracks to fit.... until I could find the right tracks...

Nice. Sometimes you gotta get a little creative especially in the craziness of the world today. Nothing is available or affordable anymore.

Why not fold the pad back?
@americannostalgiagarage8 ай бұрын
That’s definitely an option however I think that bolt would be really hard to get to. You could probably weld a stud on and have it come through the floor and tighten it from underneath. I think this was probably the best way for me personally but, There are certainly alternatives thought you’re right. Thanks for watching.

What year make model car do you order the seat tracks for
@americannostalgiagarage Жыл бұрын
The tracks that I modified are Chevy A body seat tracks.

Why don't you use nutserts instead
@americannostalgiagarage5 ай бұрын
Normally that would be a great idea. However in this situation I wouldn’t do that because you don’t want the seat to come loose in case of an accident. And the nut serts don’t grab much metal to hold onto. That being said I use nut serts regularly for other stuff. I love them. Thanks for watching
