Another great video , a links course , sunshine and big skies - perfect . You mentioned the great Alistair McKenzie- he would approve of your fiendish match play format ! He said “ Anything that keeps the game alive and prevents us getting bored with it is an advantage . Anything that makes us think about it , talk about it and dream about it is all to the good and prevents the game becoming dead “ .

This video was definitely split in two sylistically between the front and back nine and I hope you can merge the two to create a cinematic treat of a competative golf game. The domestic bliss at the end was very, very funny!

So jealous of the abundance of wonderful links golf courses on your side of The Pond. Always great to see the rhythmic swing of Lewis: always on plane and always with the great finish. And a fun game you’ve got there, Andy. You should have named it “Andy” so you’ll be remembered like Old Man Stableford one day. 😂

Great to see you come to Seaton Carew one of the first 50 courses in England. The two cranes in the distance are from the ore offloading area that fed the iron and steelworks. The iron and steelworks have all been pulled down now for future development, they used to dominate the view. One of the improvements over the last 20 months is the removal of a lot of gorse bushes which are not natural to the original course. These used to dominate some holes and if ball landed in, it was a lost ball no chance of recovering the ball, this has been replaced by the long grass typical of links

I’m from the North East. A good few years ago, when it was financially viable ( not extortionate ), I played Royal Lytham St Anne’s. The members were as good as gold, and were keen to talk, after hearing my accent. There are close links between them, and Seaton Carew, with frequent club matches. They talked fondly of their visits to their links partners. I was suitably impressed by a recommendation from members from an Open venue, and arranged a trip to Seaton Carew shortly afterwards, as I had never been there. I recall the hideous amusement arcade, the sound of the power station, and the smell. Got to say, I just didn’t get it. Never went back. Nice video, but it still didn’t convince me to give it another chance.

Andy - if you tee off (badly) and “STYME”, what about player 2 calling “STYME” (before tee shot) to bring the hole back in play?
@TheAverageGolfer9 ай бұрын
Yes we did consider that but was concerned to over complicate, also considered that any player who had StyMe’s left in the bank on the final hole would become nil and void, therefore determining a finish
