You and This Old Tony i wish could be trapped in time, never aging any more, just endlessly making things for people to watch. Its all just perfection on a Sunday morning sipping coffee. (in my Paul Brodie hoodie like a true fanboy )

Paul and Mitch; hello; thank you for your always amazing info on frame prep and why/ how you do what you do which culminates in a perfect frame! How I wish I could have a mountain or gravel frame built by you. Massive Appreciate how you continue to share your expertise and knowledge in such an approachable process.

Hey Paul, I won't wish you a happy birthday. I'm coming up on 77 myself, and It's good to let them slide... After having gone thru 9 months of three-drug chemo for prostate cancer, I am sending you strength to get through it. I had a two-year long recurrence starting in in 2018, but I used water fasting to bump up my immune system. Been undetectable since then. I appreciate you and your wonderful lessons. Keep 'em coming.

What a craftsman and what a storyteller you are. Not a fan of superlatives but that what you create and have created is really outstanding. As a fan and owner of old motorbikes and MTBs i am really soaking up every detail of your actions and storys. Get well soon Paul!

Great film Paul ! Your weldings are beautiful, nice to see them 🙂 I start to weld aluminum for two years ago, but not like yours... You have experience ! Have a good day, best greetings from Sweden. - The old Biker -

Aluminum is the hardest material to tig weld IMO....it takes a looooot of practice and a special sensitivity...Paul is a pro and a joy to watch.

Your welding is the best detail i ever seen. I have never seen the cleaning action in welding footage before. I have never welded aluminum before. But would like to give it a try. I still mostly arc weld... Have an awesome day✌️

I'm loving this build. Technical people tend to be bad at coming up with names. Your names for bikes I like a lot. And the color. I know that you said it was an accident or something that you had around but if it were me, I would have just gone with black or blue, but pink was the better choice. It wasn't intended as a detachable frame, but it looks like it could be.

instead of wood. Take the same angle aluminum and mount the stub onto it -a simple 6mm hole in the angle at the height you need. level the frame to the table - that way its a true right angle to the tube.

The thing is if I could weld anywhere near that standard I would not be blending it in, I'd be showing it off😂

I've a 2022 Trinx Quest its a MTB from China Alloy frame all the head tube joints and those at the top of the seat post have been smoothed..the bottom on the seat stays and the chain stays and all bottom bracket joints just the weld..I wonder why they did this..

“A belt sander and paint makes the welder I ain’t”… such a shame those welds were beautiful to begin with!

Is the aluminum frame considerably lighter than a steel frame? I guess im asking what is the weight difference between a steel frame and aluminum?✌️
@davidmurphy915119 сағат бұрын
25% or so lighter.
