In light of the Johnny Dep trail its time we stopped instantly believing claims without evidence or consistant reports of behavior.

We never should have been believing people right off the bat. Our Constitution gives us the right of "innocent until proven guilty", yet we have thrown that away by prejudging people who have been accused of something. For some reason, in this country, we feel the need to judge right away. We HAVE to pick a side. We also have a problem with empathy. We aren't willing to take a look at what it might be like for someone else until it happens to us. We have all seen it around, let's be honest. People will poo-poo something until it happens to them. Then they are willing to go full steam ahead after it happens to them and shout it from the rooftops. Until something is proven to me beyond reasonable doubt......i make no judgement. I pick no side. Why? Because if I were in that same situation, I would want the same benefit of the doubt. How many innocent people have to go to jail, be fired, lost their children, etc, all because the public couldn't wait to hear all the evidence before making their judgement?

@@cdr861532 Yes, your country is crazy, haha. People who continuously pre-judge first are fools. See what I did? Irony. Seriously though, this trend doesn't seem to be limited just your country. It increasingly happen everywhere, including Australia. People are weaponising all elements of logic to confirm their biases.

Yeah - let’s wait for this to get through the courts. He should have stayed and fought - the more people that just quit or resign because of allegations, the more cancellation based on allegations alone is legitimized. Guy a millionaire thought I’m sure he’ll be fine lol and he the goat for proving that companies can actually pay decent if they chose.

@@calmsimon It's not one allegation, it's several allegations with witnesses, police reports, a rape test kit, etc- a lot of people are testifying to this pattern of behavior, plus he resigned- if he was innocent then he shouldn't resign. The whole collection of evidence that has come out so far makes him look guilty- evidence that has been collecting over six or seven years.
@calmsimon
@calmsimon 2 жыл бұрын
@@MisterMooster one person said it was consensual sex, one person said it was rape. this is why we have court - a rape kit only confirms that they had sex. did you know they had been seeing each other for several months? and ceos resign based on accusations all the time - it's not a good look for the business regardless of the facts and it's mentally difficult to run a multi million dollar company with accusations pending. if people like you ever get power, God help us
@MisterMooster
@MisterMooster 2 жыл бұрын
@@calmsimon That's just silly to put me down personally. I am just saying that based on the available evidence it appears that he is likely guilty, but of course there would need to be a trial to determine this. Why would she lie? It's a matter of the whole situation, she wanted t6o have a positive relationship, she had no incentive to lie. People make the best determinations they can about the truth based on available information. All the details of all the situations put together make him look like a predator.

It must be hard for the CEO class to accept that one CEO can accept a pay cut for his employees to align his values with his beliefs, while 99% cannot. How is P&O working out now its contract was cancelled by the UK government? Honey trap: I believe the Dan Prices' attorneys' key details.
