Seattle Fire Rescue 1, Air 26 and Engine 26 responding!

On October 8th 2023, I filmed several Seattle Fire units responding to a boat fire in Magnolia, just south of the ship canal. The boat ended up being on land, and the fire was quickly extinguished, so most units were put back in service.
This was about 3 miles away from me so I knew I'd miss most of the units, but I was hoping to get at least Rescue 1 and Marine 1. Unfortunately, Rescue 1 was cancelled just before it reached me and Marine 1 was cancelled while still en route.
I did get Engine 26 and Air 26, which was a nice surprise. Thanks for the waves from the E26 driver and officer!!
Still figuring out the new video editing software so the transitions are kind of wonky, but it's getting there...

Nice catches Lucas! I 100% feel you on the "cancelled right in front of you" bit, it's a bummer for sure. But I'll take a catch with waves from the crew any day haha

For sure! I felt kind of bad because I didn't notice the wave until I watched the video, so I didn't wave back 😂

Thanks for watching! Yeah, I was excited to get Air 26 since it's usually Air 10 that comes up to my neck of the woods.

Very nice catches Lucas. Traffic cameras were down apparently which was pretty disappointing. I also heard you saying "god damn it" when R1 got canceled 😂 By the way, congratulations on your 3rd catch of AIR26! I'm not sure why AIR10 isn't really going out on calls lately.

Thank you! And yeah, guilty as charged with the audible disappointment 😂 - hopefully there weren't too many kids listening... It seems like Air 10 might be out of service a lot of weekends, which is when I'm most likely to be around to get footage. I'm not sure why all the traffic cams are down right now - it meant I wasn't able to get any earthquake footage tonight! (Not that there would have been much to see - it was a pretty small one). Hopefully they fix the cams soon.

yea when Air 10 is staffed out for a day they call for air 26 & 260 to be the Air Rig for the Responds

Yes sir, this was for the boat fire in Magnolia. I found a good stake-out spot that all the units have to drive past for calls in the Fisherman's Terminal area (at least when they don't get cancelled). And yeah, I've had great luck with Rescue 1 lately - thanks for watching Jeff!
