Former marathoner here… Lost my ability to run marathons when I pretty much lost my knees to arthritis. Even walking a marathon is very difficult! I am so proud of you. I’m so happy that you can tick this off your bucket list. It is not a small achievement even a half marathon is not a small achievement. Stand proud girl… That’s a big deal! And it’s still a tick towards the bucket list in my eyes. I have to say I literally chuckled when you said… something good happen. I can no longer feel my legs lol that was very cute.

So that's why you were walking >10,000 miles each day. What a fantastic accomplishment! I'm inspired too! Saturday, I was just looking up 2025, 5K walks which would be my first. However, my dad said I could show up show up as an observer, not a participant due to my illnesses and conditions. Way to go, Rowan! Congratulations!! There is nothing like the high you get from a race experience. I started running long distances at 50 years old. I’ve done 1 5k, 2 10k, 9 10 milers, 18 half and 4 full marathons. The last marathon 2 of my kids met me and paced me for the last 2 miles! Keep up the great work!
