I’m really liking the new system Coach Bylsma brings to the team that gives the Kraken a lot more opportunities to score goals. I’m seeing it starting to come together in this preseason and I’m loving it!

About the Kraken...on paper they honestly added exactly what they needed in a second offensive defenseman in Montour and a second veteran center in Stephenson...The only potential question mark might be in goal if they have injuries, who's gonna help ? I think they will be way better this year with a full Wright year but i see them more as wildcard. Going the right way !

All their dawgs in the AHL are more than ready to step up, they have built a strong minor league system already. Depth isn’t a problem for Seattle, it’s the high end talent they don’t have that’s a problem.

Don't lie Steve, you just didn't want to be in another Kraken intro dunking on his predictions hahah (to be fair they also dunked on Biz during that intro too.) But yeah I agree that there's something special with the Kraken this year. It'll take until probably December for it to really come out to play, but there's moments already in the season (Especially with Daccord in net - his saves against the Predators last night were amazing.)

I think the best the Kraken could do is 3rd, and the worst is 5th. Definitely a lot of players that you have no idea what to expect from tho.

Krakens biggest issues since inception have been getting it in the offensive zone on power play and having NO ONE that can win faceoffs which kills them in the end of games and in the playoffs. It's why they overpaid for the 2 veterans, they will help tremendously. But can they stay healthy? Can they score? We will see, this team can do what Vancouver did last year or they can barely miss the playoffs. We really don't know

Tyson Barrie syndrome...that is just bad offensive defenseman management really ! Remember, not long ago you needed 2 offensive defenseman on your powerplay, 4 forwards is a very recent concept. Put your best player, that is good management wether it's one or 2 offensive defensemen !!

From a Sabres fan, the confidence in Bylsma.....wooooooof. This man had multiple eventual cup winners on his Sabres teams, plus other guys that have since gotten close. His Sabres teams should have been better. Bylsma was a BIG issue.

We’re undoubtedly a better team than last year and almost got in despite injuries last year. Jesse’s take is so ridiculously bad. Part of it is the terrible analysis this channel does. Even just shooting percent returning to average gets you another 8 points on the season. Still probably a wildcard but definitely over the Kings.

Idk but i find this team the most boring in the NHL. One team that unless the Bruins are facing them, I don't even bother.

I want a better Seattle team, but I don't see the changes they made making them a much better team than last season, barring some rookies taking the reins and dragging the team kicking and screaming up the standings. There's no reason they should have no cap space with the roster that they have and most teams in their division either got a lot better or are trying to tread water higher in the standings. If Calgary keeps sending every tradable warm body out of town, the Kraken could finish as high as 5th in the division, but could also just as easily finish 6th again.

@@gordonmacdowell8117 then you really don’t understand the roster at all. The additions are huge improvements on those who left. We also had well below league average shooting percent and injury luck last year and still were in the wildcard race at the all star break.

The Kraken are a weird team. They have a tendency to rise and fall season to season. They need a retool on the fly and not like a Sens Retool which should have and should definitely be a complete rebuild from scratch going forward.
