Seattle Link Light Rail, Sea-Tac Airport, Downtown Seattle, Seattle Washington
In this vlog I arrive Seattle Washington, and use one of the many options to get from the airport to downtown Seattle. I use the Link Light Rail, which serve Seattle and a couple of neighborhoods around. The commute from the airport to Downtown is about 35 minutes. Its pretty smooth and reliable and you get some great views of the suburbs. Its also a really good affordable option to get from the airport to downtown. Its funny cuz i live here and do this walk and ride everytime I go to work 😂. But it's still fun to see it through fresh eyes. Honestly I still get excited when I land here from working a flight, especially on a beautiful sunny day. It really is a place like no other. The PNW will always have a special place in my heart even if I leave eventually cuz of this seasonal depression 😭. Glad you got to see a little bit of one of the most beautiful states.

Just home from a short trip to Seattle. I watched this prior to leaving ---- gave me GREAT confidence! I love the ORCA card. Tap and go. And remember to untap on arrival. Train ran smoothly! As a senior, it cost me $1 for the trip. Uber costs about $70!

Yo bori...I used to love riding that train from Seatac Airport to 3rd and pike downtown. Especially loved to hear the American Indian music chanting in the background at the seatac station. Seattle has tons of history. Hope u got to see the awesome million dollar view of downtown from the park up in Queen Anne. Seattle is one of my old stomping grounds..This is Expat

Seattle is one of the top places we still have to visit. You are making it around the US I see. Do you just go alone or do you have family or friends there. The airport does seem easier to navigate than Ohare here in Chicago. Cam’t wait to see your adventures.

Friend of mine is going to snail mail me her physical ORCA card because she uses her phone app exclusively now. I think I'll be able to "tap" it at the light rail station at the airport....and apparently I have to "tap out" at Westlake Station so it charges the correct fare.

Had a few questions!!😊 So how does the Orca card work? is it like a thing where it's cheaper to purchase because you can use it for all types of public transportation? can you somewhat explain it please?🙂 And my other question is where did you stay hotel wise? How long was your walk from the downtown station to your hotel. I am thinking of traveling for the FIRST time ever!! AND solo on top of it!!🤗 So I want to plan it out beforehand!! I am a planner and just want to be secure with my details🙂 I am interested in taking the light rail since it seems pretty convenient given it's right there at the airport and maybe cheaper than any other option! Orca card is a NFC charge payment account. You fill it with cash or credit or debit deposits. It pays for busses the Link light rail, ferries across the Puget Sound, and the sounder regional train. It tracks transfers automatically so you just swipe everytime you get on and off the train/bus/ferry, and it resets the transfer window. OH and I forgot to mention, it also pays for the Seattle Monorail, so you can get off the light rail at westlake station, go up to 2 stories above street level and you're at the monorail. Take the monorail straight to the MoPop and other fun tourist trap stuff that is the legavy of the 1962 world's fair. Space needle. There’s supposed to be a golf cart-type shuttle available that can take, it Looks like up to six people with maybe their luggage from the main terminal to the light rail

It’s funny watching this video and remembering the face mask policies that were in place because of the pandemic bs. What a fraud that was. We looked so stupid wearing the damn things. As time goes by and we go back to reflect on it, it’ll seem sillier. That said though, great video. I’m going up there later this month, so the video will help me find my way from the airport to downtown using public transportation (ie the cheapest option). So thank you for sharing this.
