The lack of AC and ceiling fans is so bizarre to me. I've lived in multiple states including rural areas with high levels of poverty. This is the only area I've lived in where AC is so rare. My apartment would be unbearably hot without AC. I was told when I first moved here from out of state that AC is not needed. What a bold faced lie that is. I would never consider renting or buying a place that had no AC especially at the out of control prices here.

I crank on the AC to 60 degrees early in the morning around 8 am. I shut it off around 9 pm. It's bone chilling cold going into my room 🥶 It's all free.😊 My DIY solar runs the whole house and AC all day long 😊

More regular cooling is much more affordable. Kerping it at 70 or 72....My dad works in this area and what you are doing is the most expensive way of staying cool.on your bills. Just like a moderate speed on the HWY saves gas. Not stop and go and not speeding up then slowing down...

It's difficult for me, but it's extremely hard on my kids. We never realized this area hadn't adopted A/C before we moved here and cannot wait to get back to a place where everyone has central heat and air.
