Seattle Storm Coach Noelle Quinn, Jordan Horston and Jewell Loyd field questions after the 95-71 win over the Dallas Wings on July 1, 2024. Former Lady Vol Jordan Horston notched eight points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals. Loyd tallied 26 points and three assists. The Storm have won four games in a row, a streak that started when Horston, who started the season with an ankle injury, entered the starting lineup.
Horston: “I literally texted (Quinn) at the beginning of the year, and I said, ‘Listen - I want to guard the best player.' I meant that. I bring so much to the table defensively, especially when I’m locked in. I love it. I literally love stopping whoever is in front of me, the best players - whoever. They’re not going to get what they want to get. I take pride in that, and I’m happy that (the coaches) trust me.
It’s allowing my game to flow. I’m a lot more loose when I’m starting on the defensive end. It’s just fun for me.”
