Ya got a new fan from the other, Eastern coast, in Virginia. Very few opportunities to watch, let alone, see trains around here. Too much sand, and tourists. Great video's. Remind me of long ago, in Pa. where I grew up watching endless freight, and passenger trains. Thanks.

That is one of most clean, well ballasted yards I've ever seen. Track looks very smooth as well. Is it a new yard?

@cthsemilw I think it's been around since the '30's or '40's or so, based on aerial photos I've seen. Not sure which railroad the yard belonged to back in the old days. All the yards around here seem to be pretty well maintained, at least to me.

Perfectly safe, calm down and quit "yelling" with all caps. Kicking cars is done a slow speeds, only around 5 mph or less.

rm2kmidi seattle does not have a harbor island, they do it on shore, and this is in the freight yard.

SILVIC THEROBLOXIAN Actually, this video was shot on "Harbor Island" in Seattle. It is a man-made island in the mouth of the Duwamish River. It was completed in 1909, covers 350 acres and was made from 24 million cubic yards of dirt. The dirt came from several very steep hills in downtown Seattle that were leveled so buildings could be placed there. This is the small yard on the island. The island is used for commercial purposes - container yards, shipyards, flour mill, etc.
