I love how you take something so simple and affordable and show how you can make it work for you. ❤️ So encouraging for those on a tight budget or ones that can't afford the most expensive stationary! Great video! 😊

I read Writing Down the Bones, a sort of advice and self-help book for writers, a decade ago. And while all of her advice for writers was amazing, probably the most directly impactful was her admitting that she writes in 75¢ notebooks for similar reasons as you. I prefer different setups now and use multiple notebooks at once, but I never would’ve really gotten started as a writer if she hadn’t helped me to stop viewing my notebooks as precious.

I like these little spiral notebooks too! I can’t afford a cover for them, but I use a binder clip to keep it closed, that way it doesn’t get as beat up when I throw it in my bag

My aunt taught me the good Ole 25 cent notebooking way. The one subject full size. Over the years I have moved down in sizes and tried fancier ones but I keep going back to these you show and the bigger cheapies. I find they get more use than the pricier ones.

Such great ideas, as always! Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts and time. I especially agree with your "breaking the blank page" philosophy. I do have the silly fear of "ruining" a notebook, or "wasting pages," and the anxiety increases in direct proportion to the price of the notebook. So that has been extremely helpful for me. Slap on a watercolor wash, some stickers in the corner, or do some stamping, and my fear decreases dramatically. I'm 100% sure it has to do with my need for perfectionism 😮💨
@SeaweedKisses2 жыл бұрын
Yes, breaking a notebook in a little with personal touches definitely helps "break the ice!" Thanks for watching!🥰

I legit squealed when I saw a new video from you (I was slightly embarrassed) hahaha. You just inspire me like no one else. I've picked up a few p&g memo books for myself and have started using it and am trying to figure out my system. At the same time, I don't feel pressured to make it perfect, in fact, I feel so excited to use it however I want until I find my journaling style. I've always loved the idea of journaling, but have made many mistakes. Starting with the fact that I bought bigger journals when I know I don't journal as much and I feel intimidated to fill them up. These little memo books were the perfect solution!!! Thank you!!

Thank you - there is so much inspiration here!!!! I have a small CVS caliber notebook I can use for December 4x6 and then next Walmart trip I'm definitely picking up one of the Pen and Gear notebooks ... they are the right price and size and enough paper! I'm so afraid to use paper in my hardcover A6 Dingbats notebook ... plus I don't end up feeling bonded with the books since they are great quality and all but not personalized. Happy December to you and thanks for the wonderful content/inspiration/ideas!!!!!!
