Good work gentlemen. Have they set the commercial season yet? Up here in Eureka it's been delayed because the quality isn't what they want. All the crabs we've caught are full and firm though.

Thanks! It is also delayed here in northern Ca. I agree with you I have yet to catch a crab with soft shell and low meat yield.

I have been watching the party boats and charters this season. That was the best looking crab haul I have seen so far!! Too bad the inshore fishing is closed!!

Both crabbing and fishing were wide open! Just have to go before commercial opens and when weather conditions are favorable. Go get em!

Great video. I’m going on the Sea Wolf in a few days. Can you recommend what’s a good time to arrive to get a good spot on the boat? And where did you get that squid rig? I think I have something similar from P-line and another from Ahi. Did the boat supply the frozen squid? Sorry for the questions. It’s my first crab/rockfish combo trip.

Thanks Raymond. I recommend trying to get there about 30 mins before the time that they email you to be there. I got the squid rig at Fisherman’s Warehouse. Yes the boat did supply frozen squid. Have a great trip!

Thank you. It was rough on the ocean and only got to fish for about an hour. Only caught 1 rockfish. Very few fish were caught. Everyone took home 9 crabs each, good size too.
