And his health was declining and they put their all into making him better without a cure to the disease. He would have been long gone in the wild.

I worked at Sea World and the whales were the “ babies” of Sea World! They had their vets, favorite diets and the best trainers to work. Each trainer had to have a long list of certifications to be able to work with them in bachelor degrees ( marine biology, psychology, deep divers, etc.) My dear friend that passed away had all of the qualifications and love for the whales. Nobody ever expected the terrible outcome that had passed. Particularly, I miss her and know that all the team did their best. Just because they were and are the best of the best! Their love and caring for animals Is great. Dawn will always be in our hearts and her love for her whales!

They stole him from his mom in the open ocean and put him to work for 30 years feeding him dead fish and gelatin and kept him in a tank that wasn’t long enough or deep enough didn’t provide proper protection from the sun and he didn’t have a pod because the female whales bullied him because normally male wales stay on the outside of the pod in the wild he had a miserable life at least he only killed three people if I was him I would’ve killed more being stuck in there RIP Tilly

Sea World killed Tilikum! By isolated him to loneliness! No touch or interaction like he was used to. He was depressed he didn't know want he did wrong. Orcas are the top predator of the ocean. After he harmed just one trainer Sea World should've made a sanctuary for him in the ocean! They are are smart if they can adapt to being in a concrete tank after being taken from there home he could adapt to the ocean again. No one should go to these shows anymore! It's cruel!

The major reason I like SeaWorld, was because of the rides like Kraken, Manta, Journey to Atlantis, and Shamu Express(as a miniature 9 year old little boy). I remember seeing Tilikum in the show(one ocean) at the shamu stadium, in person, splashing waters at the crowd in the lower stadium, didn't got wet, cause I was at the upper stadium. Tilikum is the largest orca in seaworld I ever seen, with my father setting down with me in the show. I didn't know anything about what SeaWorld was doing to the Orcas til the blackfish documentary came about.

Winter was a different park and a different story. She suffered a life treating tail injury and was only a baby, yes, that was still very much because of humans but she was never a candidate for release because that would have been an INSTANT death sentence. What Sea World did was much different. They captured perfectly healthy animals from the wild and put them into their circus. Sea World is a sick organization.

It's sad and abhorrent that it took the death of an innocent life, for humanity to finally understand that wild animals in captivity, for human entertainment, is barbaric. This could've been prevented, and Dawn would still be here today with her family. Whales deserve the utmost respect: their natural habitat is endless miles of deep sea, not restricted water pens to perform tricks on command. Eventually, all the overfishing and pollution of rivers and oceans is going to thin out the human herd, and at this rate, that's a good thing. Mother Nature has given us all the resources we need (clean air, water, farmland), but humanity is hellbent on self-destruction. Time's up.

I wonder what the p.h levels are in that water. If it's below 7.0 being to acidic. It could of eaten him from the inside out. This is very painfull for whales. Could you imagine drinking hydrochloric acid all day long? Sadly the first thing to get eaten by the acid is the intestines this is the thinnest skinned part of the digestive system. Sadly eventually the large and small intestines dissappear and this process could take months of intense pain as the animal excrement mixes with the blood, slowing clodding up in blood vessel. He never had q chance this poor whale. I live in vancouver and i know the "marina" he was in , in victoria. Its a boat and ship harbor. Very very closed in. Cruise ships dock/ed there and it was the first port in Canada. The water he was swimming in and locked in in yhe boat sheds before he even left canada was toxic.
