Seb's ERF EC11 LOUD PIPES AND JAKE BRAKES!!

Today I met up with Seb to check out his ERF EC11 with custom British heritage livery and artwork, this truck looks amazing and sounds just as good!

Drove an E14 for years with the Eaton twin splitter. Last time was around 2002. Would love to drive one again. 14 litre 320 with twin spit was a great combination. Lovely truck

I was an apprentice at an ERF dealership, learnt my trade on the E series and EC11/14. Brilliant trucks that was easy to fix and reliable workhorses. I’ve got a C series that I take to shows, hopefully one day they’ll be regarded up there like the old Volvos and scanias👍🏻🇬🇧😎

we used to have Daf ,ERF , MAN all using the EATON twin splitters great solid gearbox but so many drivers struggled with them but many more loved them

Twin splitter, four speed box with 3 splits per gear, easy, unless you've never driven one. Cummins M11, good solid engine, marine applications run nearly 900hp with no bother, 440hp max in a truck with emission regs, fibreglass cab too, no rusty panels!!

Hmm, a chunk of my post has gone missing. Never mind. Thank you for the tech specs. Much appreciated. Never drove auto box truck, only manual shift. Only used the clutch when stopping and starting and using reverse. Something very satisfying perfectly timing a dog box. 😊

Great memories of working on ERF's my Dad actually met Peter Foden over an evening meal to purchase some tractor units and I also believe MAN were more than happy to set a great product aside for their market share hopefully they did well from the sale 🙏

What a stunning wagon, I don’t drive class 1 myself but I was brought up around wagons like this, my dad, grandad, and uncle all drove. My dad is retired now but my brother drives class 1, I’ve so much appreciation for drivers. I do drive long distance but just a merc sprinter Luton box van. I absolutely love ERF’s 😍🇬🇧 A firm a couple of miles away from me runs them “Turners of Hoole”but the newer ECX’s. They have a show one (can’t remember the model). Another firm “seaways services” runs them too. British is best 💪🏼🇬🇧🇬🇧 Great first video 👌🏼

Amazing gearbox. Sorted the men the boys. You’d drive your truck perfectly, then you’d use someone else’s whilst yours was in for service. False neutrals and near nigh every tune in the top 40 all day. We had ERF’s at BP with jake brakes. I miss that noise in a high st frightening old ladies 😂😂. Lovely memories. Thank You

Absolutely amazing awesome truck once you master the gear box its a joy to drive . Great pulling power the restoration of this truck is a truck that will make look atfor ages there was lots on the road back in the day glad it is with a driver who' has a good appreciation of this great truck

I'm 39 and love Scanias when I first passed my Class 1 I went to drive for a Local Haulier. He gave me a really old tired ERF EC11 Olympic with a Twinsplitter. I loved Driving it. It had the wrong Diff so would only do 50. But I still loved it. He took that one off me and gave me a much tidier EC11 Olympic but it wasn't the same..

Scanias are a ladies truck there that easy to drive,I love Scanias but these ERFs are something else to drive with their Fuller’s or Spicer gearbox’s,beautiful job he’s done on it and I’ll bet that 5th wheel took some cleaning to be able to paint it,I used to look after a fleet of A and B series ERFs with Gardner and Cummins engines, happy days. Still like the Scanias though beautiful truck.

Used to have one of these. Brilliant gearbox and easy to fly through when you get the hang of them. Good bit of rev matching coming down the box and can race the gears when you know the tricks 😉 Nice truck Seb but Christ man, block change when solo.

An absolutely stunning motor, Cummins M11 & twin split box, I learned to drive on a twin splitter as an apprentice, only look at clutch pedal to start/stop, lipe twin plate clutches were bread & butter work for us apprentices, box out clutch out, new spigot bearing new clutch in/lined up and box back in 3 hours, nowadays I’d steer clear of doing a twin plate clutch 😂, another standard job was “top ending” the engines, vale and injector adjustment too
