I was front row at the KISS concert, October 1996 at the Capital Centre in Largo, Maryland. After the opening band was done, and the lights dimmed for KISS to come on stage, Sebastian Bach and some drop dead gorgeous woman (I assume his wife) walked right up to me and I got to watch the show with Bass next to me the whole time. We had a little conversation about why he chose D.C. to see the show (his Dad lived nearby), but mostly I let him enjoy the show like all of us wanted to. Always a fan, it was a big moment for me back then. I wish he was still frontman for Skid Row. Nobody else does it like him. Thanks for posting this video!

He does sound better than a lot of old rock n roll and metal singers tho. Being a nonsmoker helped a lot, he wouldn't even smoke weed back in the day, but, he partied on other things! 1991 or 92, my roommate, "Mr. Ticket Scalper, back stage pass gettin' mofo", called me after the G-n-R, Skid Row show so I would get him a "ball" QUICKLY, I'm like WTF & he says he has Bas in his '79 Smokey and the Bandit Trans Am & I'm like WTF ever, then bam, they show up at our apartment about 10 minutes later! Cool experience, for sure! That dude was totally faithful to his wife man! When I asked him, how come you don't have the finest woman in this city with you, he said, naw man, I'm married, I don't & won't cheat, that would be the same as cheating on myself. I'll never forget that part of the conversation!

Agree but like with many singers that where in popular bands they get little stuck with their old bands songs understandably. Same with most huge bands,get stuck with the hits. Probably great to be in a band like iron maiden, big but with no hits and most people at the show are true fans and they can play almost any song and everyone is happy.

I'll give him credit for one thing: He certainly still believes that he sounds good, and I guess that's all that matters. He hasn't lost one bit of attitude, which was his third biggest selling point at one time behind his voice and his looks. But I'll tell you, and it's only my opinion, that I saw him back in the day and this doesn't even come close. I think both he and the Skids have both managed to keep their integrity intact by not doing a reunion. No one can argue with a clear conscience that Skid Row would sound better than they do right now if Sebastian was back in the band.

Eric Gromwell makes old Sebastion look like an amateur and I'm a big fan. It sounds like he's struggling in every way. He's managing to scream a few high notes, but he doesn't sound like he did back in the day.

Reunion would be a straight obvious money grab nothing else and Dave and Rachel don't seem to want anything to do with it and I don't blame them. Sebastian is probably easy to work with when he is 100 percent calling the shots like his solo career however in Skid Row when he isn't the boss and has to fit in im sure the Ego comes out. Skid Row struck gold with Erik they are drawing their biggest crowds in years and the album did better than expected and reviews were good and people like Erik he can sing perform and he seems like a genuine cool dude. Sebastian in his prime had an incredible voice and was a great rockstar for that era. However he thought he was Skid Row. All the songs we love and are still popular today were written by Snake and Rachel not Sebastian he is singing their songs Snake and Rachel are amazing song writers and were as important creating the material for his great voice however Sebastian has delusions like he was Jani Lane or Tom Keifer doing all the heavy lifting for the bands success

He can sing perform well and he is a happy genuine dude who feels honored singing the songs Sebastian sang. They are drawing their biggest crowds in years for a reason Had Erik been born earlier he would have been a star in the 80s and was a star with HEAT in Europe. I'm happy they aren't just tolerating a reunion for the money fans would see right through it. Go forward with Erik.
