Erik sounds more like Skid Row than this. The Gang's All Here beats this by 100 miles. Bach was great until covid hit, now he's lost his voice almost completely. The best thing I can say about this song is the guitar tone sounds great and the production is solid - but Sebastian cannot hit the same notes as he could even in 2015. Erik on the other hand has only gotten better since he started in 2009.

@@midnightstrike3625 But you cant compare Sebastian with Eric.. Eric is good but without that super extra and that feeling . if you listen to the first Skid Row album and the second one and compare it with Eric , you will find out that Eric has NO chance to sing like Sebastian.. You cant get THAT FEELING and that extra Sebastian has.. Take the songs Wasted Time, Quicksand Jesus or whatever and you will come to the conclusion that there is only one Skid Row singer and thats Sebastian .. AND BTW, There is no Skid Row without Sebastian .. In my opinion they should have changed the name to something else..

I really tried to get into the last Skid Row album with Erik. Coming at peace that we'll never see Seb and them reunited again. I really tried to like it. And I actually did. The Snake/Scotti double guitar work is still a sound you can't escape from if you're a Skid Row fan. And tbh, Erik is a great singer. Its the best album they put out post Sebastian's departure. It is good. But then I heard this. And within seconds I returned to my original state - Skid Row WAS Sebastian Bach. This song sounds like an unreleased track from Slave To The Grind. Like 35 years never happened. And you can't even notice the absence of Snake, Scotti and Rachel on guitars. Sebastian and Rob are enough for this to be the real Skid Row, no matter how good Erik and their new music is. You can replace guitarists; there are only a few irreplaceable signature guitarists in the world whose absence is felt. Slash is one of them. Even Dimemag (R.I.P)'s legacy is replaced by Zakk Wylde pretty well, and you still feel like you're listening to the original Pantera because of Phil! Just goes to show - you can't replace voice, energy, charisma, power and anger of a top front man. Sebastian has all that. Erik does not. You can't replace any of that with any high-range pitches Erik can actually hit live because of his younger age. Just because Erik can hit the high notes of In A Darkened Room or Quicksand Jesus live while Sebastian can't anymore, it doesn't make the new Skid Row music Skid Row. THIS TRACK IS SKID ROW. Yes, Sebastian is difficult, yes, he's a handful and probably emotionally draining to be around for some people like Snake, Scotti and Rachel. But for fucks sakes, many others have no problem being around him. Out of all remaining 80s and early 90s bands, SKID ROW could have reunited the original 5 and have almost zero competition to be at the top, sell out stadiums and draw crowds similar to GNR, Pantera and Metallica, or at least just tour arenas, stadiums and open up for them. But sadly, the stubbornness to and inability to bury the hatchet will never allow this to happen. So, for as long as Sebastian keeps putting out music like this, especially with Rob back, we can pretend the original breakup never happened and the other "Skid Row" is just a new band putting out decent hard rock, no more, no less. Keep on rocking, Baz!
@johnnykelley3727 Жыл бұрын
