Brother your set up is not only esthetically pleasing but your mix and mic set up is flawless. I especially love the Meinl dark dry hats. So loud live but they cut through the mix perfectly. Kudos Mr. Lanser will always be amongst the greatest to do it!!!

NICE! Retired professional drummer here, 40+ years, and this is so dang tasty bro! Well done, luv the set-up boss, drums sound amazing, props on that, those ghost notes are like mortar in a brick wall. While others focus on speed and chops, it's refreshing to hear a real drummer, knowing, even in fusion jazz, when to lay back, much respect. I used to tell my students, it's not so much what and when we play, but as important, sometimes more, what and when we do NOT play, meaning the power of the rest, the pause....the space between the notes.

I've really been listening to your actual sound on every recording I have and the strokes are just so consistent in everything you end up playing on. I think you might have the best recorded drum set I've ever heard from anyone. Are you always hitting rim shots on the snare when you're not doing ghost notes in the rolls and fills? To be able to play the notes is secondary to being able to get that kind of sound out of an acoustic kit. But coupled together it is nothing short of mastery.
