I saw the 2009 remake of Bad Lieutenan Bad lieutenant Port of Call New Orleans with Nicholas Cage. @captaincaveman20404 жыл бұрын
Has anybody actually even SEEN a photo or a video clip of the ACTUAL Jimmy Hoffa? Pacino looks NOTHING like him, he sounds even less like him. Not to mention the fact that Hoffa had a bit of a swagger to his walk and was full of energy. CGI or not Pacino came across as an old man with a gravelly New York accent, and walked stooped over. You'd have an easier time finding Hoffa's remains than finding any semblance of him in Pacino's portrayal. Bad casting decision.

The movie was supposed to be made almost a decade ago, but the original studio Paramount bailed on the funding because the movie costs way more than the initial $100 million they thought it would cost, so production was halted. Then Netflix bought the rights to it a few years ago & they began filming it again. The reason why the movie costs so much money is because Scorsese is using anti-aging CGI on De Niro & Pacino similar to what they did with Benjamin Button. Al Pacino at 70 years old is playing Hoffa in his 30's & De Niro is playing The Irishman in his mid 30's to late 40's as well. The movie is supposed to have over 300 scenes & took nearly a whole year of editing.

This sounds like the perfect recipe for an awesome movie, when's it out? I can't wait to see it. It's a cast made of my favourite actors and favourite director plus the genre and location. I'm sooo excited.

Jim Norton as Don Rickles is beyond genius. I have a feeling it will be a straight out of the park performance by all participants.

Sebastian was FANTASTIC as Crazy Joe, the character was so unpredictable and intimidating. Makes you rewatch his scenes over and over.

His role in the irishman was fantastic, loved his short appearance during the court scene with Bobby Kennedy.

Ray, Sebastian, and Jim Norton were all keeping pace with the “masters”, very impressive. I had to do a double take, at first I thought it was really Don Rickles then I remembered he’s dead.
