Having seen I, TONYA twice now, I think in retrospect, the biggest story coming out of this season should be how Sebastian Stan was absolutely robbed of the attention his performance in this film deserved. To do what he did (without turning his character into a brute or a parody) required incredible nuance and restraint. Frankly, that he isn't on the top of most prognosticator's Best Supporting Actor predictions is astounding to me (he occupies more screen time than just about any other competitor in the category). I don't get it.

i havent seen the movie, but what i have seen is people praise Seb (just like u) for his performance in the movie and saying he deserves more recognition for it then he gets beside Margot and Alison..i just dont get it..why ppl cannot appreciate him the same as the others if he really gave an outstanding performance, why overlook him...this really disappoints me :(

totally agree..there was already a nomination announcement for an independent award and both Margot and Alison (also i think the producer) got a nomination, and nothing for Seb..i will be really mad if he gets no nomination for any award this season..this is so freakin unfair :(

I just watched the movie and it was phenomenal. One of the best movies. Not just because it’s Seb but like the story was incredibly interesting and I was really into this story. I’m so glad to see him get recognition for another character other than Bucky. Who is the reason I got into marvel in the first place. Honestly this man has changed my life. I'm still skeptical about the film, but I've done enough blah blahing about it. Now that it's won an award, I'll watch it. Yeah yeah. I'm fickle af with muh fangirl love xP I hit like bc this was a surprisingly good interview. The face-over-the-laptop angle looks like the work of an amateur interviewer, but his technique is quite good. Who is this Derby guy? Seb also answered the questions well. I'm glad he's learning from those little marketing faux pas he's been making these past few months. He's giving more nuanced answers now, without giving too much away. (Unlike the other fangirls, I find it easier to respect Seb's mind with that beastly bush growing out of his face lol. Beards on anybody are *so* not hot, imo.)
