Video editing is a hobby I did ever since I learned about computers, yet this is first motorsport related video I do of this complexity since the passing of Jules, 6 years ago(which as well you can find on my profile), and I almost forgot what enjoyment and satisfaction the creative process brings and even greater pleasure the appreciation. Week later since publishing the video is viewed over 11k+ on Instagram and 9k+ on KZbin and counting 1k+ daily. By people across 30 countries. Liked over 1200+ times combined, shared and saved over 190+ times and needless to say, to my great delight, some of them were close and team personel of Seb himself! Thank you for all the comments and compliments, they mean a lot!!!

If we count the fact that he wrote that he's retiring in his predictions for the season before sealing it in an envelope, his retirement announcement lasted like 8 months

This is such a beautiful tribute video. Listening to his retirement announcement in the background again oddly made me feel inspired and excited about what's to come not just for him but also for what life has in store for the future. It's remarkable how well written his message is given that English is not his first language. You can tell he took alot of time and reflection to write it. It was so sincere and heartfelt. Farewell Seb. Thanks for all the memories and for sharing your talent on track with us. Live long and prosper!

Sebatian Vettel's career is like a movie. The rise and the fall. I do believe Seb has got one more drive in him before he goes for good. I am still patiently waiting for his last ride.

I started watching F1 thanks to a friend streaming the Spanish GP this year (2022) on a discord call, for me to see what F1 is about - before then I had no knowledge of cars, no knowledge of racing, and no knowledge of how competitive it is. I grew a liking to Vettel fast, with Ricciardo and Alonso as well. Seeing how he was one of the greats, with his drive to still be a competitor, how wholesome he is, how funny he is, I started watching a lot of his old races from RedBull and Ferrari eras, to educate myself in the sport and to also strengthen my liking to him. Seeing this video now, after watching every race live this year, and seeing how he was struggling thanks to Aston Martin's shitty car, the announcement, the last few races being very decent drives considering the car, it's what made it for me to just let it all out - yes, I got emotional and cried my eyes out for 10 minutes straight. I don't cry a lot in my life - only in select moments where I know it's for something that has deeply affected me - and this is/was one of them. Danke Seb! Thank you so much for the memories... Now be a happy dad to your children!

Am I the only one who doesn't care if Seb stops racing? that's his decision lets move on and focus on the sport and the up and coming drivers. If he chooses to stop being involved in the popularaty and becomes a driver people forget and becomes irrelevant then that's also his choice. We will remember him as a legend driver but the show must go on so idc about Sebs retirement and i'm not going to cry about it.
@da_visual2 жыл бұрын
I get your point, part valid-part irrelevant, but I guess yes, you are the only one. Thanks for watching and writing. I hope at least you enjoyed the video!
