The "Render in and out" tip is extremely useful. I run an art channel with art timelapses and making a video in 1080p 60fps and then speeding it up just makes my editing extremely slow. I have been looking for a "render and replace" type of tool but it's always greyed out. This tip just rendered it and now my playback is extremely smooth. Thanks so much!

hey man i just watched your video and at: 1:32 you say to chage it to the "old" hardrive that we do not use for editing, however i watched another video that says the litteral opposite it says to put the editing drive as your media cashe files. channel : Editors Keys- "SIMPLE Ways to SPEED UP Premiere Pro in 2023" at 0.40 seconds. For me, setting your audio latency too low, will actually just make it more stutter. So just, turn it back to a latency it could handle, for anyone having the same problem.

Sadly not working for me. Video ist 1 Year old and my Settings look totally different. I have my Playback on 1/8, editing 1080p footage on a 1080p Timeline. No Effects and Nothing. CPU usage 10%, RAM is 30% and GPU is like 10%. I have a Ryzen 5800x, 32GB of Ram and a 3060ti. Its lagging so badly my Playhead isnt even Moving... I really am Desperate for Help

in your new project tab 3d lut interpolation - Trilinear is selected in my system it is automatically selected as - Tetrahedral (requires GPU acceleration) which one is correct

I know this is an older post but I forgot how to setup my NVIDIA Card Settings, I just setup a new card, I looked up Optomizing Premiere Pro Settings, found your video and proceeded to watch. In the Edit Preference Section, under media, you recommend to disable Proxies. I have always used proxies for my 4K & 8K content. Why should I disable that feature?

The fact that an editing software needs tricks to run smoother is a sign that it's horribly broken. For the last several years, I've been seeing a degrading of Premiere performance and now waiting for my timeline to update while I scrub is a normal thing I deal with on a daily basis. And I've tried a lot of the things you mention here. Premiere just sucks, but unfortunately I'm forced to use it.
