There’s a little hack to using the parquet brush. If you pull the front brush strip out and leave the back one in, it’ll make it work 10 Times better. Another technician on KZbin, goes by the name of Performance Reviews, swears by that trick, and his pick up test with the parquet brush come out really nicely even with massive amounts of dirt.

Yes that’s carbon from the motor completely normal . Idk but they say every other intake filter change the exhaust .fantastic review. I was looking at a X7 & X8 to go with my D4 onyx but u convinced me on the Felix . I trust your reviews

Thanks very much, that's good to know. I feel I bring the benefit of long term usage to the table rather than just a 'ooh look it sucks up oats but it's crap with rice' type of video, if that makes sense 👍😁

That black stuff on the exhaust filter is carbon dust from the motor. I would just replace it and let the vacuum breathe a little better. I changed mine and if you look at the video I did on it you will see how I love this vacuum. Great video.

I would definitely change the outer exhaust filter at that point. If you wash it and it’s still discolored, change it. If you wash it, use a minimal amount of gentle detergent (and no softener) and wash on gentle cycle, on cold. Air dry for 24-48 hours.

great review. I have some thinking to do, I've had the Sebo X4 for 15 years, no problems, but we have so much hardwood floor now I think we may need this. Sebo is expensive but they're so good overall.

They are indeed robust and effective. Turn the brushes off on the Felix and it's great on hard floors 👍😁

The black on the exhaust filter is carbon dust from the carbon brushes that cause the fan to turn. All perfectly normal with use!

I used a Sebo Felix for 15 years. Was reliable and did good job cleaning. It didn't handle ultra plush carpet all that well (power head bogged down) so switched to Sebo E3. My motor exhaust filters did get streaked with motor carbon dust but nowhere as bad as shown here. It was possible to vacuum a good part of that carbon/bag dust out of that filter, extending its usage life to about 1 year.....IMHO the shown example needs to be at least vacuumed or otherwise replaced.

Have you noticed any smells from the cleaner once bags were getting full?

I can't say I have, however I do put drops of essential oil in the bag to freshen the air as I work.

Hi! Just found you and I've had my Sebo Felix 1 Premium for about 7 years. It is very powerful and streamlined-- goes under very low furniture and stores easily in small closets. My issue is with the roller brush and buttons. I have had to take it in at least 3 times to have it checked (I have it serviced also with new filters etc) as to why the roller brush intermittently just stops working. No light and cannot engage it; suction is good as ever and no clogs. The repair people cannot seem to find anything wrong and when I get it back from the shop, the light and roller brush works fine. Then, periodically it stops, then starts again and finally after about a year, stops again and won't engage. Anyone have that problem? I don't use it for heavy duty work as we are a very small family with only one short haired cat :) I keep the roller cleared and make sure bags don't overfill. Help!
@MoreThanJustaCleaner2 жыл бұрын
Hi Gina I've never had that problem. Although occasionally the brush seems to not be working and I start panicking... Then I realise I've had the pipe out and not slotted it back in fully so it hasn't activate the micro switch. Are you sure your issue isn't similar?

Apparently you can wash the exhaust filter. Obviously Sebo doesn't recommend it but you can give it a try. I would just wipe the body and put it on. It's certainly hundred times better than Shark, it's a completely different league.. This one's gonna last ages ..
@MoreThanJustaCleaner4 жыл бұрын
I've just bought a new filter actually. Sebo have been in touch and they're suggesting because I've used an unbranded bag it's shortened the life of the filter 😏 I think I'm going to prove that wrong. Yes it's certainly robust. The Shark has some great features but you're right, the Sebo is better.

It's absolutely fantastic on carpets and rugs but I find it so annoying while using the hose. The vacuum just easily falls over. You can detach floor head and carry it up the stairs but I still find it heavy. Yes! Finally someone who finds this dusting brush rubbish. No matter what suction I picked it was always suckig bristles. Upholstery tool was great too but all the fluff and hair easily gets trapped on the bristles and it's hard to clean it. I didn't like it on hard floors too, but it all probably depends on the floor type.
@MoreThanJustaCleaner4 жыл бұрын
Yeah the hose is springy, it could do to be a foot longer. I do actually like the dusting brush but it works better when the bag is fuller 😂 And surprisingly this is one of the few vacuums where I find it great on hard floors. Have you turned the brushes off? When the bag is new set the floor level to 2 and the bushes off and it will pick up everything. When the bag is fuller set it to 1 with the brushes off.
@Blackout7204 жыл бұрын
@@MoreThanJustaCleaner Yes, I turned the brush roll off. Maybe it's just our awful shinny wooden floor.

No. If it's on the filter it means the filter is doing the job of keeping it out of the air.
