Just picked myself up a 2017 Sonic RS Turbo yesterday. Traded in my old 2016 cruze. Cant believe the power and control it has for a little 4 banger. It handles like a sports car. And it even sounds good xD

I have a 16 sonic RS. Lowered with Borla exhaust. It's a blast to drive on the back roads. Sticks to the road like glue

@@cupidbentley3121 13 sonic RS. Its amazing fun to drive and still looks like it could have been designed in 2021

@@djpollo2474 If the catalytic converter wanted to live more than 5000 miles, it would be perfect. In the past 9 years only a few sensors broke, tire pressure mainly its easy on brakes since it only weighs 2750 lbs. I fully filled it going on a trip, blocking all the windows except for passenger so I could see the mirror, and I got it down to 25mpg highway.

I own a 13 LTZ sedan and it is a slug. I love the car but it handles like crap. I don’t know if the struts are just tired or what but it only has 45000 miles. Have you done any suspension work to it yet?
@jwickert34 жыл бұрын
ZZP has a suspension package that is similar to the RS suspension. Also, GM offers a sport suspension package for the Sonic but they are hard to find since no one knows about them. Here is the original GM part number: 23123679. I called GM Performance to inquire about this part number, maybe the following is an updated number not sure: 23158161.

I have a 2018 RS. I USED TO OWN A 2014LT. the handling in the RS is much improved. Plus i put better tires on it. The understeer is much less in the RS.

I bet of you upgrade those tires they won't be squealing as much wen you take tighter turns. Also think about upgrading the suspension system with the tires that should with grip runs. :) Love the video. Keep it up.

Thank you! I did think about it but then I thought it was my daily and I already have a racecar that I take to the track instead of this haha.I am going to get some better tires next time I get a set just incase I feel like doing another track day with it.

Race tires (slicks) squeal, too, if you exceed the turn-in and incident angle. I've seen cars with slicks on courses make noise all the way around with one driver--the same car almost no noise with a different driver and faster times being a lot smoother.
