The progression Milroe made through out the season was super impressive. He looked really bad in the first two games and I thought he was going to be replaced for the backup for the rest of the year but lucky for him the back up was pretty bad also. He redeemed himself quickly: good for him

I was calling for him to be benched after 2 games and at least groom the next guy in line. Even in the Tennessee game, with the big comeback I saw glaring weaknesses in reading defenses, working thru options, and accuracy. After that game announcers couldn't shut up about his long ball efficiency when all I saw was long TDs in busted coverages where no defenders within 7-8 yards and receiver having to stop or go from one hashmark to the other to catch a ball. I wonder how long till coaches / safety start hanging back ... as we say today at the end of the game... that big pass play happened because the safety left the receiver and moved in to cover the run

⁠@@pwest2986I don’t disagree with you. I hate what happened to FSU. As a Bama fan/alum, I’d be upset if we went 13-0 and were left out. That wasn’t Bama’s decision. I’m glad you pointed out that the committee should own that. In terms of beating refs, I don’t have a comment on that. Georgia had opportunities to win the game and they couldn’t get it done (missed FG, fumble, stopped on multiple 3rd and shorts). It’s an unfortunate situation for many teams. I believe there are 8 teams that could legitimately win it all this year. Hopefully expansion to 12 teams will fix this moving forward.

@pwest2986 You really think the regs want to see Alabama win? They're probably just as tired of seeing Bama in the playoffs as you are. You don't think they've been hosed on calls too? You just don't hear about blown calls that don't favor Alabama because it doesn't fit the narrative. Perfect example was the Iron Bowl a couple weeks ago. There was a blown face mask call against Alabama and I'll admit it was a blatant face mask all day long. But after this blown call favoring Alabama, there were several blown calls thay favored Auburn, one of which directly impacted the scoreboard, taking off a TD due to a supposed offensive holding call that was never shown in the replay, never explained who the holding call was against, no video footage of said hold, nothing, no evidence supporting it. Then you had a catch by Jermaine Burton, foot clearly touched inside the sideline, could zoom in and see green between his foot and the sideline. The refs aren't pulling for Alabama, they don't care f they wn or lose. Refs blow calls that favor Alabama just like they blow calls that work against Alabama.

I'm not a fan of either team (I'm a South Carolina fan) but I remember when Paul Finebaum and a lot of other "experts" and commentators were saying that Bama absolutely could not win with Jalen Milroe after the loss to Texas and an unimpressive win over South Florida the following week. I thought they were insanely overreacting and what Bama and Milroe accomplished shows how little credibility all those "experts" have. In the end BOTH of these teams deserve to be in the CFP...where they will probably meet again for the Championship.

Haha, not a chance. Michigan and Washington are locks. Florida State should be a lock even with injuries. They beat LSU, Clemson, Louisville, and a gritty Duke team. The last spot should go to Texas for their head to head with Alabama and winning their conference championship as well. If the committee is being rational and not biased, neither Alabama nor Georgia deserves to be in this year over the previous 4 teams mentioned and their body of work.

What sucks with the 4 team CFP format is 2 of the top 4 teams wont even be in the playoffs. Ohio State out because they lost to Michigan at Michigan and Georgia out by losing to Bama, but both those teams would beat Washington and Florida State. A case could be made even for Texas since they would most likely beat them.

The games are pointless. The outcomes on the field are less significant than what a committee predicts will occur in a future game. Every player who has ever put on a helmet tightened their cleats, and charged onto the field to fight for a win is receiving a severe blow to the face because some people in a Texas conference room determined that their sacrifice was not worth as much as the Las Vegas line for a possible playoff matchup. The Noles and Dawgs were screwed because the committee wanted a potential rematch with Texas and Bama in the championship game. Michigain, be advised that to beat Bama, you must beat the referees (Bo Nix, 2020).
