My son is a lineman and I'm very proud of him and all the lineman out there. God Bless you all, my prayers are with you. He went to Puerto Rico right b4 Christmas in 2017. I worried the whole time, but God was with these guys. Again...thank you all.

Were is this located? I operate a bucket and climb for Asplundh Tree Experts and trim the lines but dam sure wanna do this!!!!! My coop up here is just never hiring.

Erik Marrz I am going to go to a lineman college once I graduate high school, I would recommend going to a lineman college and starting with that it will help you to get on with a company, I would also look into contractors or subcontractors because coops Will contract work out sometimes, and sometimes this field may require you to move. I hope this has helped you, and don’t take everything I said as gospel because I am from Florida so it is most likely a little different in whatever state you live in. Best of luck getting into this field.

go to the utility company's website in your area. click on career opportunities

Good apprenticeship you're paid to train..Don't waste your time on college..Get hired on a utility as a ground man or helper then work your way up...You'll get paid to train instead of you paying someone to train you
