He is rather secure right now due to the massive buyout that would be required to terminate him. However, he still is a winning coach in every place he has served as Head Coach and probably will have an excellent year in 2025 so the thought of replacing him will simply go away.

Only if Coach Saban is satisfied with him. HOWEVER, 1 more year failing to make the playoffs, failing to play in the SEC Championship Game and continuing to lose games early in the season, could spell disaster for the program. For those who say the money doesn’t justify firing DeBoer after another bad year, I say we will see. If fans stop going to games, stop contributing to the University and stop supporting other Alabama Sports teams, my university will be in HUGE trouble! So stick by your, “we can’t afford to fire him”, credo. Simply put, at some point the hole gets too deep to dig out of.

You see Milroe is making himself undraftable at the senior bowl. I think Nick Saban preferred Ryan Day over Kalen DeBoer. He sent Ryan All-Americans Caleb Downs & Seth McGlaughlin, as well as next year’s starting QB Julian Sayin, the apple 🍎 of Nick Saban’s Eyes 👀. All he gave Kalen was Jalen Milroe.

If true that was a huge mistake. Sayin actually grew too, he’ll play next year at about 6-2 210-215, and end season as one of nation’s top QBs. Ryan Day who is an expert on Developing QBs supposedly privately referred to Julian Sayin as the smartest QB he’s ever coached, a QB SAVANT!

From the looks of his Elite 11, he looks like a Baller. He’ll probably need at least a year to develop just like nearly every other great QB, but he seems to have the IT factor. Looks like a legitimate 5-star. Good luck
