SECEDA ITALY - Must See in the Dolomites - ITALY Slow Travel

Today we head to Seceda, one of the sites in the Dolomites that are all over Instagram. This grassy area atop the Dolomiti is absolutely stunning. Accessible both to (advanced) hikers and those like us who opt for the gondola it is a must see when visiting this part of Italy.
We are fortunate that the weather is perfect, not overly windy or cloudy with the iconic pasture in full view. We spend the day in awe of the beauty of this place and recommend getting the slightly upgraded ticket so it includes the 4 or 5 seater ski lift up top as well.

Fabulous views! A tip for pronouncing Italian names if you're a native English speaker. 'Ci' is always the English 'chi', 'ce' is always the English 'che' so Seceda is Seh-che-dah. The Italian 'che' and 'chi' are the hard 'c' sound in English. Bruschetta is 'brus-ke-ta'

Dear Stijn & Debbie, I have much enjoyed your video! I have particularly appreciated Debbie's emotional reaction at her arrival at Seceda. You can imagine the panorama in Winter, with the peaks capped with snow and the slopes magnificantly prepared for skiing! I usually spend my Winter skiing holidays there and I can't wait to be there again next December, after one year of forced abstinence due to the pandemic! It's fantastic to ski around the Sellaronda area, moving from valley to valley enjoying the Dolomiti Superski skipass. Ciao from Torino, Italy
