😢 this one brought a tear to my eye can't lie. I'm separated from my kids' dad and he has a new gf and I have heard that my son calls her mom and it tears me up as well. I can't stand it. Because of certain circumstances my son stays with his dad mostly while my daughter is with me but I feel the pain with only being able to see my son every other weekend and once a week if my work schedule doesn't conflict with it. It's very painful. Awesome song. This will def touch a lot of people

I'm in the same ⛵ as this song and it makes me feel proud to hear another father out thier enjoys being a Dad just as much as I do. And that no matter what baby momma has custody or even physical time you don't get to share anymore. Doesn't make a damn bit of difference what y'all two have left now. What's ultimately lost is that which makes marrige worth fight for. Your love made this now Innocent victim of a broken home have to suffer not having both of thier parents saying good night. It's tragic any kid has got to endure the loss of dual parent consistency. Anyone who's ever had to grow up with parents that got divorced b4 they became an adult knows all to well. The lose of that safety net which all parents instill in thier children. That they never have to feel a loss or heartbreak of not having both of your parents in arms reach or the magnitude of grief in the loss of the 2 eternally instinctual loves were all born with. Kids need all the attention and effection day in day that they can soak up. It's what makes being a kid so great not having to be burdened with the emotions that come with adult life. Loss or heartbreak or most importantly suffering without that which has been there since you been able to remember. Which is something no kid is left unscarred for the rest of their life. And no parent wants to miss even a single second of this life you've nurtured and invested inand watched blossom and grow up right before your eyes day in day out. In my opinion this is one of life's worst struggle a kid can have is waking up in life way earlier then they need to by the lose of love early before they've even learn those mental self coping skills needed to succeed no mater what gets thrown in thier path in Life. And a parents instinctual ability to look over and watch their creation made from love, be forced to share that love and time intermittently and never get to be those constant memories of mom and dad as they should in thier child's mind. Also That at some point every kid realizes they have been shortchanged happiness along the way. No kid should have to suffer grief and loss in what should be years of Innocent play and fun without worry or pain.
